Based on Gsmarena that the phone supports LTE-A (4CA) Cat16 speed, btw what is the major LTE-A or Cat running by malaysia telco locally if u r aware? thanks

Unfortunately, I'm not really sure. You can however check back a few pages for a post from someone who DID manage to get 4G+ on his Poco and check on the telco he was using.

Anyone use X one screen protector before? Any review/comment?

I'm using X-One on my current phone. TBH, it's pretty much just a thick piece of plastic so don't expect much in terms of scratch resistance... metal, keys, coins all microscratch it pretty easily.

BUT, for impact resistance and durability, it outclasses normal TGSPs IMHO - especially some of the thin crap glass being sold out there that can't even withstand having a old style 50-cent coin dropped on it without cracking.

Unfortunate, being plastic, the surface of the X-One is also a bit stickier then TGSP - even if it supposedly has an Oleo layer. And the edges are totally not 2.5D (baveled) so if you're not using a case, you're probably gonna catch your finger on the edge when doing gestures for sure.

So yeah. Pros and cons.

*slow clap*

Bravo PocoPoco, bravo! Hell it even flexes less then my OP6 wow.

Great expectations for the F2 (or F3) now (especially after #jackgate). Give it NFC (and a bit better cams) and I'm sold even if they... ehem... jack the price up a bit.

Hopefully the custom ROM/Kernel picks up though, and the bootloader remains unlockable.

GAME_ON PUBG China version is more suitable for Xiaomi devices.

saitong09 No such issue with Mi 8 or EE without the heat-pipe. Every phone will get hot included iPhone too. I think you expect this too much with POCO. Brainwashed with the stupid liquid cooling that does nothing special.
*
I still think the heatsink is simply needed as a polycarb back insulates a lot more than a glass back... so that the Poco doesn't sauna itself to death. So yeah, it's actually doing something, just that it's not the "magical bullet" everybody thinks it is.

For the Note? Well, it's just needed after Sammy stuffed the thing so full of components that there simply wasn't enough space for the proc/GPU to interface properly with a heat conducting element (aka the back).

And before someone mentions a metal back being the BEST heat conductor, it probably is. But engineered wrongly all you get is a spot to cook eggs with on the back cover lol... and no option for wireless charging (+ lowered RF performance).

IMHO ler. I nubis kubis also, what I know lol.

Is it just me or is Gboard really sluggish on this phone.

Try an alternative KB? Maybe it's just Gboard.

There are always ways to achieve this if you drill deep enough...

Ehem... I mean to make your Poco feel luxurious... brows.gif

If got lobang sure can get... Need to find oni... devil.gif

Back to the topic though, I'd say the Armored Edition would probably feel plenty luxurious for the price TBH... Problem now is, where is it Xiaomi Malaysia? Last I heard they were trying to source some units direct from India or something?

famusanus Unless you can get t it for like a steeeeeeep discount VS Malaysian sets, avoid any Xiaomi AP sets like the plague. Why? Unlike rival makers Xiaomi REALLY doesn't like parallel importers, and there are REAL risks to getting an AP Xiaomi device (like hard bricking from OS flash mishaps and sometime even simple OTA updates).

And as a subsidiary of Xiaomi, expect more or less the same from Poco.

The concern is if the device spoil. No spoil ap better. Original set for a peace of mind.
*
Also there have been rumors that resellers (for example GearBest) have been using "modified" International ROMs with EXTRA ads and dubious other stuff inside...

... though one has to wonder if that's even true or its just Mi propaganda against parallel importers lol.

If that's the case though, Android being Android would still allow you to flash original ROM onto it to negate the issue. The only issue would be how many people would notice first......

or how many of those are original Mi spyware that are sanctioned or even required by the Chinese Communist Party, considering I've got one in my Lenovo original set too. doh.gif

Problem with Xiaomi unfortunately is its not THAT simple... because of the downgrade hardbricking thing, though if you're side-grading (or upgrading) to a compatible Ori firmware is shouldn't be much of an issue.

lucky their vapour chamber doens't use oil, else petrol cooling wont make sense.
*
Note 9 has water carbon cooling maa. So water (hydro) + carbon = petrol?

3rd party apps no point. Often ask to pay to get the full version. Prefer to have it built in.

If I'm not mistaken the Quik editor by Gopro is completely free, and works rather well too for a free editor.
