This is getting really really strange. For those who DID NOT get cashback, do you mind sharing your transaction type, dates and time?

I DID get cashback for all the weeks to date, and my transactions were ALL BP, all about 7am to 9am on Monday, and across principals and supplementary for VS and QM.

Maybe if we get enough data we can see a trend, rather than right now it looks like half of us got, half of us didn't....

Did anyone who did transactions from midnight to 1am on Monday get cashback?

(Again, trying to spot a trend if any).

It’s very hard to argue when it’s a first come first serve campaign. Unless they spcificially reveal when’s the time the cashback finished redeemed.

Yeh I'm trying to identify those (especially BP reloads) between midnight and 1am which didn't get CB, as these should technically fulfil all criteria. If someone reloaded BP between those times and still didn't get CB then it really looks like random missing CB.

My new (other) theory could be if they suddenly changed their approach to split transactions.

Did anyone do all their transactions consecutively on one card, and all within a short period of time (e.g. minutes between first and last)? If so, did you receive cashback?

I received cashback, but my transactions were across different principals and supps, so no issue of split transactions.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Oct 3 2018, 09:22 AM)
And those who swipe RM50xN times for paying bills in previous promo are 'real spenders' eh?

PBB objective is for people to use their cards a lot. As long as people are doing that, objective achieved. Unless people reloading BigPay somehow reduces the total amount spent by their customers (unlikely, since what I see is that most reloading BigPay here are swiping MORE than what they would normally swipe, and it doesn't seem that this would affect other customers who aren't reloading BigPay).
*
I agree with LostAndFound. No matter what the campaign terms are, many of us (including myself) will somehow find a way to meet them. In the past, we would buy vouchers and pre-pay bills, or find alternative ways to circumvent the campaign exclusions like utilities/government etc. I certainly didn't "spend more" under past campaigns, but just tailored my spending habits to campaign terms.

Although this campaign may involve lots of BP reloads, PBB is a clear winner here, as they've suddenly got loads more spenders (and a bigger pool of people to reach out to), while their total cashback payout is capped and also reduced from previous campaigns.

I asked the question earlier to this forum and there are several who did all 8x within minutes and still got it.

So no. I don't think this makes sense either.

I agree. But until now we have no clear pattern. My friend and I received full cashback for all weeks. Another friend has similar swipe pattern and missed out on week 6 to 10. We don't understand as we have done direct comparison and see no reason.

Doesn't really matter to me whether BP is allowed or not allowed in the future. We've been enjoying these swipe campaigns for many many years. No matter what conditions they impose, its not that difficult to fulfil with some effort and sharing of strategy in this thread. Over the years I've seen the same forummers receive almost 100% hit rate every time, no matter what the campaign terms are.

For now, enjoy this easier BP way while it lasts rather than second guessing the future.

To add on, I don't think it's fair to blame anyone for complaining about not getting the CB especially when others who swiped later and with almost identical swipe pattern got it. The point is that there appears to be something wrong with the CB mechanism for the past few weeks. It could have affected BP and non BP swipers and no one knows how or why.

If they don't complain, then how will the issue ever been identified and rectified? It may continue in future campaigns regardless of whether BP is excluded or not. Good to find out what's causing it sooner than later.

I personally got all my swipes so far. But I'm also hoping this missing CB issue is resolved in case my luck runs out.

Understandably, there’s a lot of calls to review the eligibility of BP due to the missing cashback. The tone would have been different if there was no mistake by the system but I would have felt the same if it had happened to me.

I only hope PBB finds out the reason because the error might still continue even without BP.
*
Yepp! That is exactly my concern. I would be horrified if I suddenly stopped getting promo cashback in the future for no known reason, even for non BP swipes. Fixing the error is my concern otherwise PBB promos will become truly hit and miss.

Good luck guys. Hope the next rounds don't give us anymore nasty surprises.

As there is no apparent trend for missing CB and I received all my CB, I will keep doing my "usual strategy" of reloading BP which served me well for 10 weeks.

interesting. seems like you’re a legit non-BP case that didn’t get the cashback.

A friend reported to me that his Maxis and Astro swipes (no BP at all) also did not get CB for Weeks 7 and 9. Swipes done at 7-9am, and he is also a long time regular PBB promo participant like me. First time he has ever experienced missing swipes in all his years.

To be honest, if without BP, I would have swiped for those two merchants also, which was what I did in the previous promos and gotten cashback as well.
*
The funny thing is that he got NIL even though his 8 swipes were using different channels and at different times (but early Monday morning) while I managed to get all mine using solely BP. He uses Excel to track his swipe times and exact usage each week... No clear pattern.

Finally, after late for few years. laugh.gif I have so many to learn from you all. I haven't drilled into and read about the weekly cash back but a glance through at recent posts shows there are issues in getting cash back? hmm.gif
*
Yepp - it's baffling and I personally have never experienced this level of missing CB reports in all past promotions.

But don't let that deter you. Just sign up when you get your card and hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones or the issues will be sorted out. For me, campaign CB is an added bonus. As I've got lots of supps, getting the 6% normal CB is already a good return.

Yeah, I hope so. Will sign up once I get my card. thumbup.gif Not sure they will use normal mail or courier but I shall expect its arrival within this week or early next week. biggrin.gif

Two days ago, my friend sent me a screenshot of her receiving cash back for week 8-10, looking at the dates of crediting, it seems they were credited after she appealed and she spent on her BP reloads. She got for week 8, 9 on 1.10 and week 10 on 5.10. Normal? I'm not sure because I don't know how this thing works. laugh.gif
*
Normal - Weeks 7-9 were released on 1, Week 10 on 5. Doesn't look like hers was an appeal case. From reading the forums and through personal friends, I don't think think any appeals have been resolved or investigated satisfactorily for those weeks.

PBB promo cashback is released regularly, either Week by Week (4-6 weeks after transaction week) or in batches of (1-3 weeks). There may be some slow releases (and this is when you'll get a million posts here asking if Week XX released yet?)... but it's generally regular and our helpful members report very efficiently.
