Ya ke?  hmm.gif I thought TM will not use default username and password for their OLT....

I just wanna log into I-240G-T to enable extra LAN ports.........and thus I search around for documentation......before I found that document.

Because this http://hotspotsystem.com.my/index.php?rout...log&blog_id=129 kinda pointless where I don't know the ONU password.....I suspect the ONU password might be NewSiebelAddressId, AddressId, TMServiceInstanceId, TMReservationId or even Id from your rhombuscake site. Thus I never really try.......too many possibilities.  hmm.gif
*
ONU password should be set to a default value either common to TM or alcatel. U can try ans#1** (asterisks redacted for privacy pls check pdf) as that is the olt password. It might work. If not u need to pull the xml config file from tm management vlan200, more info in the doc.

Yeah I also think so... But I think they will reply the same thing, its still in pilot test and need take time. So I don wish talk to them first.

Tomorrow I will test everything first, I will use Fortinet Firewall, Sonicwall Firewall, watch guard etc to do test first. Last resort I will live chat with TM see what can do.

Thanks a lot ya~

Nice one. Didnt know we use fortinet here. Fortinet more popular then mikrotik in sg..

According to the olt manual, turbo speed is dependent on 4 factors
Pppoe speed cap
Gpon speed cap
Onu ethernet 100/1000
Olt configuration for eth bridge 100/1000 (prob the problem)

TMPoint told my Old BTU is the best BTU so far, they just need to configure my BTU to support >100mbps. Is that true the best BTU for unifi?
*
Yes . Alcatel better than huawei or fibrehome

Speaking of which......were you able to turbo yourself? I don't think the manual has instruction for outsider to do so.  hmm.gif

It can. It works with unifi (vlan 500) and hypptv (600) and also additional phone lines (400) ootb. I haven’t really tested it as a router. I got one a few months ago and it works fine with unifi 100 but sold it off after a few days so no chance to test it in depth. The WiFi is quite good. It’ll work awesome as an AP. Look for the fg7008gr thread, I posted a few results there.

I ordered one during 9/9 so will do more tests on it. Maybe run it as my main router for a few weeks to see how it fares. I’m still waiting for my turbo upgrade so won’t be able to say how it handles 500 or 800 yet. Singtel gives this router for their 1Gbps service so I think it should be ok.

If you want cheap and have friends or relatives in SG, you can get this as low as SGD20 used.

One of Aztech key feature supposed to be iptv over standard lan. Needs static routes to setup, but should be able to get the info from the olt manual someone sent earlier.

Ok. I checked the manual and it seems that you can pull the config files from the voip vlan400 to find the onu password using ftp. Then u have to try configure the onu yrself. If not the more straight forward solution is to get the tech to execute these on the olt:

#### Move hypptv to onu port 4 and bypass router ####
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/4 upstream-queue 5 priority 6 weight 0 bandwidth-profile name:8M_UP_IPTV bandwidth-sharing uni-sharing
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/4 queue 5 priority 6 weight 0 shaper-profile name:8M_DOWN_IPTV
configure bridge port 1/1/5/1/10/1/4 vlan-id 600 tag untagged network-vlan 600 vlan-scope local
configure bridge port 1/1/5/1/10/1/4 pvid 600 default-priority 5 configure igmp channel vlan:1/1/5/1/10/1/4:600 max-num-group 64 max-msg-rate 16
configure igmp channel vlan:1/1/5/1/10/1/4:600 no previewpackages [1...1024] configure interface port uni:1/1/5/1/10/1/4 admin-up

#### enable other port for HSI (tagged svc) ####
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 upstream-queue 0 weight 0 bandwidth-profile name:20M_UP bandwidth-sharing uni-sharing
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 queue 0 priority 1 weight 0 shaper-profile name:20M_DOWN
configure bridge port 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 vlan-id 500 tag singletagged network-vlan 500 vlan-scope local
configure interface port uni:1/1/5/1/10/1/2 admin-up
(Replace bold for diff port number)

#### Disable vlan tag to support non vlan capable router (HSI)####
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 upstream-queue 0 weight 0 bandwidth-profile name:20M_UP bandwidth-sharing uni-sharing
configure qos interface 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 queue 0 priority 1 weight 0 shaper-profile name:20M_DOWN
configure bridge port 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 vlan-id 500 tag untagged network-vlan 500 vlan-scope local
configure bridge port 1/1/5/1/10/1/2 pvid 500 default-priority 0
configure interface port uni:1/1/5/1/10/1/2 admin-up
(Replace bold for diff port number)

As u can see, the speed configured here is 20Mbps. Can change to any speed desired. (Still subject to pppoe speed restriction, but can borrow someones turbo id smile.gif )

At first, I was like  shocking.gif , after reading, I am like  rclxub.gif

This stuff is way above my basic networking knowledge.
To begin with, I don't know how to pull config files off vlan400 (config-vlan?)
Plus, isn't there hidden or disabled WebGUI somewhere in the 240g-T?

Conclusion, I give up on using ONU LAN ports........I shall buy a cheap gigabit network switch instead...... notworthy.gif

Not enough LAN ports for upcoming turbo.
Current TPLink C1200 LAN ports are fully utilized.....3 LAN ports for my desktop PCs + 1 LAN ports for hypptv.
Currently sharing unifi bill with neighbours and they are using wifi to connect.
Two neighbours are requesting me to pull CAT5e cables to their house (They gonna buy two 50 metres CAT5e cables and new routers as AP) once my account got turbo-ed.

There is a web gui. For this onu i dunno, but some onu web gui can only be accessed when booted with gpon cable disconnected. The password u shd try searching for default ones on the internet. If the web gui is disabled, u should be able to telnet in (with passwd ofc). Usually there is an offending iptables rule that restricts webgui access (my experience with zte onus), remove it. If alcatel doesnt have webgui, u can goof around the cli and try maybe native-vlan settings and port binding related?

If u cant find the onu password, u might find it on vlan 400, ftp://ontftp:ont123@172.16.254.10:23 in one of those xml files

Hint: most of the time onus have dhcp disabled. So u have to assign yrself a static ip (along one of those 192.168.x.x ranges and gateway onu located at probably .0.1, .0.254, .1.1 or .1.254)
Gd luck!

What he is basically doing is reset the ONU and reconfigure the SLID (people here refer as the GPON password or other term). Unless you have the SLID, please don't reset or you end up with a dead ONU.
Try here if you just want to fiddle with the ONU: https://pierrekim.github.io/blog/2016-11-01...insecurity.html
You need static route, IGMP Proxy (different subnet) and IGMP Snooping (to prevent blatant broadcasting). I tried it the experience is not good. First problem is if you have WiFi, the IPTV traffic start broadcasting and use up a lot of airtime. With IGMP Snooping, very CPU intensive. Better stick with current TM setup or get a switch that lets you tag / untag VLAN at will.
For OLT only. If I think what I think the document is, the RADIUS is for staff OLT login only, and the password is for console login only.

Cheers
*
Yep thats correct. Even the console password is safe in tm asset inventory. For the aztech tho, in deployments in sg can reach gigabit nat throughout despite iptv with igmp snooping. I believe this is hw accelerated by aztech alr.

But i dont think SLID is an issue as TM does not enforce this. They go by PON port and password only.
Ok u better find a way to backup the config then in case. The olt manual says SLID is enforced...

Yes, i am sure, 1240G > Cat5e > RGX4400.
there's ' Cat5e ' printed on the blue wire. It comes from the STB box.

Okay. I will set 2.4Ghz on 40Mhz and 5Ghz on 80Mhz.
Update : I have set 2.4Ghz on 40Mhz and 5Ghz on 80Mhz...

next will orient my RGX4400 facing my room....
*
Personally i dont recommend 40mhz for 2.4ghz. This is because might have interference, make internet even slower. Anyway 20mhz can alr get 60-80mbps on 2.4ghz...

Can la can either connect btu or router to those cat5e
. But i think need terminate the wires yrself, just get a rj45 wire crimper then .. cos currently its only wired for telephone...

I recommend u get a gigabit switch to connect all those wire to and leave a spare port for the router at that box.

*
Can explain yr wiring pls... dont tell me the rj45 keystone jack was left unconnected to anything ohmy.gif
Can unscrew the faceplate in yr rooms and send the pic here pls.

Bcos some contractor damn lazy, just wire the telephone jack using cat5e cos developer said "data cabling" but requirement was "telephone jack required".. kek. u see yr contractor even used duct tape to attach the telephone twisted pair tgt.. (3 unused pair in the cat5e lol)

Note: u should double check the faceplate wiring as i highly suspect the contractor used your cat5e for telephone. U might need to reterminate the cat5e at each keystone as well, not just crimp at the masterbox

Actually, they just leased dark fiber and sharing across whole building, it's was fiber-ready when you moving in.
China Mobile 100Mb for 1 Year: 1280 Yuan;
China Mobile 30Mb for 1 Year: 700 Yuan;
China Unicom 100Mb for 1 Year: 1780 Yuan;
China Unicom 30Mb for 1 Year: 1280 Yuan;
GeHua 110Mb for 1 Year: 1280 Yuan.

30Mbps for RM35/mths is really cheap compared to our RM79/89 already (Before was RM139)

probably it's TM's own infra/system which couldn't support mass upgrade.
once upgrade everyone, what happens is:

1. 80% of their equipments got congested (whatever that means) laugh.gif

2. 99% of the customers would jam their Live Chat/100/TM Point complaining that speed not meeting expectation.

3. Half of the customers from (2) tested their speedtest via wifi. and then complain.  bangwall.gif

80% equipment congested is direct violation of mcmc minimum 30% reserve capacity qos standard...
