Living room using mibox to run Astro go, parents and sister watching from astro go only. Sometimes Hypptv if watch NHK.

In my room, also watch astro go for on demand series. Some website drama streaming, iflix, playtv..  Mostly streaming.

Sometimes download torrent, ranging from 5-15GB .. movies..

I also backup photos to google drive. Upload is 50 vs 100mbps after upgrade.

I think that's pretty it.

So do you think I need 300mbps or 100mbps is more than sufficient for my use?

Don't be blindsided by speed per se but cost to value and practicality.. At 100mbps, you will have absolutely no issues with streaming a few devices simultaneously, your surfing experience will be near similar between the speeds.. Maybe, you will need 3 more minutes to download something that would have otherwise took 1 minute at 300mbps...is that a killer feature you must have?

If you can live with that, 100mbps is more than sufficient for most people.. Plus you have 600 free minutes valued at 120 and for someone in the household who uses mostly prepaid mobile, that's a good value proposition..

So, only you know your needs and it is for those reasons that I took the 129 100mbps from 139 300mpbs turboed

If I have already receive turbo, of course I will keep 300mbps and won’t thinking about switching to 100mbps for a mere RM10 savings.

The thing is so many haven’t receive the upgrade while the higher speed plans are there for the cheaper. It’s just not justified for us who are waiting for the turbo which nobody knows for certain when will get it. The frustration!

I'm a long time UniFi user. Just wondering if anyone has clarification.
My history is 30mbps signup, upgraded to 50 (free), now turbo-ed (free).

Should I be getting 300mbps or 500mbps?

Current speedtest shows 350mbps with ookla. Using dual-band DIR850L, cat5e lan / cat 6 lan cables.

Thanks for responding. Already did, still hovering between 330 - 365, both OOKLA Speedtest and TM Speedtest.

However, I do acknowledge that they mentioned this is pilot testing phase, does that mean that my speed will be slower than 500 for a period of time?
My second suspect is that my DIR850 unable to support such speeds...

True.......but a lot of people with WIN10 gonna complain about not able to get 500 or 800Mbps via LAN with their 'weak' cpu unless Microsoft deploys latest Intel microcode.
