Too bad Ramsey's name isn't spelled O-Z-I-L.

No fans to help him make up excuses, justify his poor performances for him and tell us how we need to offer him that 250k pw contract to keep him at all cost.

Tbh any player would’ve left given the offer Sanchez got. I don’t blame Sanchez. A substantially bigger offer and a bigger club in a much better position at the time. We didn’t know Wenger was leaving Then as well. Most would leave in his position.

I wouldn’t take him back, but you can’t deny the fact that he has single handedly carried the team on his back at times during his tenure with us. Unlike a certain so called world class player who only performs when the whole team performs and vs part time footballers but hides under his invisibility cloak when the going gets tough.

And do not even attempt to play the “ozil chose to stay” card. He didn’t choose to stay, no one else wanted him because no one was stupid enough to offer him that silly money apart from us not including the Chinese and Middle East clubs or prolly the American clubs to an extent. If man united had come in with that same offer as what they offered Sanchez he would’ve been out the door faster than he can can spot a run.

I am glad the club appears to not be making the same mistake with Ramsey.

have been wondering what is actually your issue with Ozil ya? u have been mentioning him almost in every post.

and yes we all well known on his inconsistency performance.
*
I have no issue with Ozil. My only issue is his rubbish performances.

Almost in every post? Exaggerating much?

I've only mentioned Ozil in precisely just 18 of my last 100 posts in AST, if you include this, 19 in the last 101.

Try harder.

Thanks for pointing that out and appreciate your effort.

No problem.

You're too generous in your appreciation though.

Considering how good and easy LYN's search functions are, hardly a minute of effort is needed or was needed in this case.

Certainly seems like one of the most underrated and underused functions in the forum thus far. If only people would use it more often before posting right? laugh.gif

Hope we can grab a goal or two more and wrap it up before half time. We look a level above qarabag at the moment. Need to capitalize on our dominance.

i think they are doing fine except they lose the ball quite often.

but when they didnt lose the ball they actually push forward quite well, looks threatening.

guess its mistakes you would expect from inexperienced youngsters.

Losing the ball often = not fine.

Guendouzi has been poor today compared to his previous performances. Holding on to the ball far too long and conceding the ball needlessly too many times. He is usually more incisive and decisive with his passing.

Partly what has made his performances great up till date so far is he kept things simple, releasing the ball quickly, quick forward passes, the pass and move, he has done very little of that today instead trying to take on players far too often needlessly.

I am not sure if he has been instructed to do so this time but the previous Guendouzi has been far more effective.

ATM Smith Rowe looks a little too lightweight, just like Nelsson was last season. He definitely has talent but is not ready for the big time just yet. Games like these and the Carabao cup are all he should get. Like Nelson, may probably need to go on loan next year.

Seems like a tactical master stroke from Unai, bringing on Torreira and moving Smith Rowe further forward and out wide to relieve the pressure off him

like i said, bar losing the ball they are actually doing well..

maybe you view it differently. losing the ball often = having a bad game

the way i see it, i see their overall play.

in simpler terms, their contributions in attacking/pushing forward far outweighs the mistakes they have made..
*
There was a tactical change with the introduction of Torreira. He was pushed further forward.

He was poor in the first half as it was evident he couldn’t take the constant pressure and closing down from Qarabag.

He wasn’t creating much as well in the first half.

No problem mate we will agree to disagree

yea thats why i said when they actually able to get things going they look threatening.

i didnt say they are doing great or well, i said they were doing fine. (fine by the standards of versus-ing a rather unknown club nobody's heard of till today, ofc if it was any other club then it would have been a bad game)

and yea the reason qarabag pressure us a lot because there was no cover for Lich and we were playing with a back 3.

its fact by now that whenever Torreira is on, we just become a much much more solid team.

Right now the 2 must-start for our XI is Iwobi and Torreira.

Their form is just too good right now.
*
I still thought they were poor in the first half. Slightly below average.

But like I said no problem we can agree to disagree.

Piano man woot!

Ok la at least extend Mourinho longer. The longer he stays the better. He is slowly doing to United what Wenger has done to us.

Newcastle a little bit unlucky. They should've gotten a penalty with the Young handball but as usual la United always escape all these calls against them. Probably why the FA has decided against VAR.

Never thought I'd see the day I'd be rooting for a Man U comeback/win sweat.gif

Auba rightfully dropped. Ramsey as well. Well done Unai.
