Alipay tourpass is very good for tourist in china, No transaction fee to December 31, 2019. BUT the terms say the fee going forward will be a steep 5%, very expensive service charge.

That's why not many outlets in China accept Visa/MasterCard. Uncle Trump is forcing China to open up this financial service. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Nov 7 2019, 12:33 PM |

QUOTE(eagle008 @ Nov 7 2019, 01:31 PM) may i know what kind of payment you using the apps ? Used it for metro, food, attraction entrance fee, shopping....basically all scan and pay can be used. So for Didi, you can choose cash as payment method, and make payment by scanning the QR code to pay upon reaching your destination.can it cover the train/ metro / didi ? How to change the credit card that registered before to big pay now ? For this TourPass virtual prepaid card, it seems like once you have put in the card when you first apply, you can't change it. But who knows, probably later update may be able to do so. For example, they have added the feature for us to add TourPass to home screen which wasn't there on the first day it launched. |

QUOTE(yahiko @ Nov 8 2019, 02:32 PM) u top up in china or in malaysia? Just like Bigpay, it doesn't matter where you top up as long as you have internet access. The wallet size is RMB 2000, you still can continue to top up till wallet reaches RMB 2000, but there is an undisclosed but reasonable ceiling for 90 days. since limit is only 2K RMB, so if finish dy any issue to top up in china? And you cannot choose another credit/debit card to top up and refund (when the wallet expires after 90 days). So think carefully which credit/debit card to use (valid for at least 3 months) when getting the Tour Pass. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Nov 8 2019, 05:07 PM |

QUOTE(MGM @ Nov 8 2019, 06:03 PM) Not worth it lah when 5% surcharge (waived till 31/12/19) on top up Tour Pass. You still can use Bigpay to get cash from ICBC's ATM.When you go to China next year, Wechat Pay is another option, not sure how it will work This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Nov 8 2019, 06:44 PM |

I actually didn't switch to international version. I'm still using the china version, no problem using the tourpass prepaid card. I can switch between china wallet and prepaid card without any issue. |

Does anyone having issue to pass the "Confirm & Pay" page?
I've filled in all my passport info but when I clicked on the Confirm & Pay button, nothing actually happen. Do I need to pass the face verification first? This post has been edited by gvr: Nov 9 2019, 10:41 PM |

I think no, max 2000rmb (no sure per visit or per submission ), cos I try to verify the whole day and contact their cs, finally found that my acc is no problem for tour pass but max 2k the whole periodAnd you cannot choose another credit/debit card to top up and refund (when the wallet expires after 90 days).
