It is quite difficult to time the market using SA, isn't it?

So lets say that I am anticipating a market surge today, switching from 6% to 36%, chances are SA is buying the ETFs at the price that is the day after, right? and vice versa etc.

Yeah I know, I am in it for the long haul too, but I am just curious.
*
Indeed, so you have to time the market few days in advance too.

I wish it was immediately on the night they receive our deposit also

Sad

I don't mind that they make the actual transaction later

but I was hoping that the price would be based on when we make the transaction, or closing price at least.
*
In a way is good also la, because maybe if thats the case , will have more speculators. Then they have to trade more hence higher transaction costs.

If not mistaken, i had a conversation with someone from OCBC regarding loan before and they said cant instant transfer to foreign banks. (but i use instant transfer for Citibank credit card can.) Maybe thats why an additional day for StashAway .

Hi guys i just received statement from SA and not quite understand on this part

I invested 1188 one shot in december
now still 1188, planning to do dca starting from this weekend

in  the statement
What are below means?

Monthly-averaged assets: RM38.46
Less: Fee-waived assets -RM38.46

from where the figure RM38.46 calculated from?

is this related to the management fee?  icon_question.gif
*
Ah i think cause you invested it late december ? Then they count average..

Rm1188/31 = Rm38.32

Assuming you deposit in few days before you and SA bought your ETFs on the last/second last trading day of the year.

Am i right ?I am also curious

boss. I little bit confused with the 30% withholding tax.

meaning the dividend we received, and reinvested amount we seen in our account is only 70% of the amount we supposed to have?
*
Yes sir

Then you will get back the some remainder like after the year ends like a previous member shared with us few pages ago.

If not mistaken.

Not sure whether remainder is after tax deduction ? Is there any tax deduction ?

meaning it will have the effect on our ROI. since 30% is not calculated. ain't it?

wow..... on top of fees.

this SA also quite hard to earn full.

and not delayed few months...

honsiong said around 1 year.....
*
Yeah, thats why some like to look for those Irish domiciled funds ? i read before in some other thread.

If only Malaysia has more ETFs. Want to enter KLCI etf also must go US (local 1 by ambank quite low volume and correlation seems to be off abit )

Do you know any other platform with this much ease for 0.8% ?

You look at other robos in singapore, dont feel like we will have better access to intl market anytime soon.

Again I havent tried FSMone and other brokers out yet, how good is it?
*
I am a user for FSMone and so far quite happy with it. Decent fees for HK and SG stocks. US is abit more pricey and they charge a small amount on dividend.

https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsm/new-to...icing-structure

Customer service by FSMone is top notch for me plus fund transfer quite easy. Opening bank account there i learn from the thread in LYN. Local bank - Instarem - SG bank - FAST transfer to FSMone.
Even their unit trust over there 0% fees.

So far i bought a few ETFs in HK and some shares in US to hold long term.

Hello, I'm new to SA, and I'm in the 36 club.
Planning to DCA 100 every month. What do we need to monitor? Abit hard to understand their platform tho Haha
*
Hardest part is putting in your money every month only. If its for long term , then don't have to monitor much, maybe once a week ?

Anything you can ask here, plenty of people who will try to help you.

Hi guys, i come from FSM thread and afew pages back, someone recomend stashaway.

Was wondering, is Stashaway safe?

How was everyone portfolio doing so far?

I am pretty upset on the FSM managed portfolio performances so far.
*
Hi, i am a fellow FSM investor as well and i have been looking towards ETFs and ngam ngam SA launched in Malaysia and gives a low cost entry into ETFs listed in US. Below is someone's review on SA and you can check out the different portfolios!

https://financialhorse.com/stashaway-1/

My return now is +2% from -15% (approx ) few weeks before. Of course i have been topping up every week. Risk 36 index.

Drop me a pm so i can pass you a referral code if you want !
