QUOTE(nicole_4ever @ Aug 7 2018, 10:29 PM) yeah, i dont like those stuff too and i also believe that uitm should be open for all malaysians. I dont understand why most people getting mad that uitm should have been for everyone, if youre incompetent enough, you shouldnt attending dental school in the first place or any uni in the first place. |

Don't think it does matter which uni you grad from already, as long as you are accepted and grad due to merits
A lot of ppl probably will look down on uitm grads as there is impression that students there are accepted because of quota and privilege plus some of the bad apple grads giving bad name when they are in the workforce make it more worse and there goes uitm name down the drain happened to all other higher learning institution not just uitm Even private also ppl have impression you are in and grad because ada $$$$ It all goes down how you sell yourself during interview for a job |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Aug 8 2018, 12:01 AM) The way SPM is nowadays....don't get 8a, including at least half a+..... considered average result..... what courses? But Malaysia boleh, so many will eventually get 4.0 in some foundation.... But still well above MMC/MDC minimum requirement.... people with the minimum 5b and CGPA 3.0 also get in ....you can imagine the standard of the unis admitting them....lol |

QUOTE(Asyee @ Aug 7 2018, 10:18 PM) So recently i got an offer to study dentistry at UiTM. At first i was so happy but after doing an extensive research, i got so depressed and sad because many people say UiTM graduates are incompetent. Although i think that is somewhat true, does that also apply to medical and dental students from UiTM? Does anyone know someone or have work with UiTM dental student? And since most companies nowadays value experience so much, do guys think i have a better chance to work in a private sector after a few years working under government? TS, uitm engineering, medical and dentistry schools are good. These faculties their syllabus are controlled by BEM and MMC respectively. You can't enter with substandard results. Once graduated and done compulsory government service then you can take professional or specialist examIm also planning to continue my study at UM(oral&maxillofacial surgery) but i just dont know when. Do you guys think i should continue my study first or get job experience first? Any advice is highly appreciated. |

QUOTE(Asyee @ Aug 8 2018, 12:46 AM) Well, i ive never heard someone with 5bs and 3.0 cgpa got into "MMC/MDC". Even if those are the requirements, you still need to compete with students to get a very limited place. nah, for girls you need 4.0 cgpa. boys may get away wtith 3.8 or 3.85 plus active involvement in student bodies. (actively involve with other student's body is not counted |
