QUOTE(h@fiz @ Jun 10 2019, 02:24 PM) baru tanggalkan tinted headlight. apa kaedah untuk tanggalkan residue/gam dan untuk kilatkan balik headlight? terima kasih. i'm afraid using kertas pasir sanding is the only way.I've used kertas pasir 1000 > 1500 > 2000 > spray clear coat > polish > wax to "renew" my yellow faded headlamp. |

QUOTE(mafilee @ Jun 10 2019, 08:30 AM) Hi guys. Just wanted to know if previously i service my car using Synthetic oil for 10 years and now I wanted to change to semi synthetic due to i rarely use my car compare to previous usage.. Is it will affect my car performance? For this 10 years my car doing just fine no major issue so i'm afraid if I do the changes it will start buat hal.. i'm using fully-synthetic, replace the oil once per year only due to low running mileage. |

QUOTE(diversity @ Jul 4 2019, 10:00 PM) guys, my persona coolant disappearing without leaks. same problem here. my radiator water will splash out like volcano.. i just let it be.1) Did pressure test at workshop, no leaks observed 2) Went to flush and change coolant. After turning on car, coolant starting overflowing from opened radiator where the cap is supposed to be. Workshop said thermostat faulty so changed thermostat, radiator cap, and new coolant 50/50 3) after 3-4 weeks without checking everytime , the radiator fan will continue moving even after I turned off the engine. This is an indicator when the coolant is not enough. Everytime in the radiator have to top-up around 1 litre+, reservoir totally empty Now people saying its blown/cracked head gasket. But my engine still running fine. Engine oil normal color. Foreman recommended to do top overhaul. Even when/before/after the radiator fan continue moving after engine off, the temperature gauge is still fine. Never overheated before or anything. Foreman also said maybe the coolant leaking into exhaust? what do you guys think? update me after you fixed the problem i want to see the cost. |

QUOTE(powerwoot @ Jul 23 2019, 01:38 PM) Just drove to and fro Melaka and Perlis, about 630km a way and speed was at mostly on 110kmj to 120, 130 to 140 for a short period when overtaking the vehicles only. Petrol is roughly about RM80 a way in real consumption from point to destination point. FC showed 7.1ltr/100km. Cheap, last weekend drove Polo Sedan 1.6 north-up to a few states, end up at Kuala Perlis then back to KL, distance 1153km used RM169, speed 140-160kmj except traffic jam. Your FC is better. In fact I also achieved better FC with my gen2 Campro around 16km/ltr when outstation alone driving slow sailing mood, haha. In fact VW lost out the FC even with the 6AT advantage, but in long distance the rpm lower and less noisy. This post has been edited by voscar: Jul 23 2019, 11:09 PM |

QUOTE(wklow28 @ Aug 2 2019, 04:03 PM) Boss, when the engine is cold, open your radiator cap (not spare tank), try pour in coolant/distilled water, you may surprised you need to fill-up another 300ml to make it full.I suspect your radiator is only 3/4 filled due to air-lock inside. When you replace coolant/change water pump outside, many technician don't know our car need to do air bleeding. |

QUOTE(shakku @ Aug 6 2019, 04:27 PM) Check the thermostat. If the thermostat KO, you'll see the temperature rise more than half when the car is idle. I found there're 2 variant of Proton thermostat... 78'c and 82'c, which one you using now? 4'c temp difference got huge effect or not?But when moving, it's okay. Since the water pump is powered by the engine, faster you go, the air pressure will push open the valves. Replaced mine recently for 2009 car Actually I'm surveying low temp thermostat, but very rare for campro engine. Wira Mitsubishi got a lot low temp thermostat selling in market. |

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Sep 7 2019, 08:57 AM) your car engine still running fine lor. that's how to know. i thought if cylinder head gasket fail, there should be tell-tale signs instead of engine straight cannot start? something like milo color engine coolant, engine misfiring etc. if do engine compression test can tell or not? i dunno, just random guessing based on lowyat /k lepak experience. if gasket kong, your car cannot start, stranded kena tow. your case is you are lucky, unlike others, that's all. your lucky experience cannot say to everyone that it's still save to drive at temp max. because of what wklow unfortunate events, he pay the price ady. but usually people will not learn until it happen to himself. #fact tho my previous message is not intended to show-off my luck, it's more my worried anything damaged is already done on my engine without showing obvious signs.. |

QUOTE(diversity @ Oct 29 2019, 09:48 AM) yeah 195/60 is stock, but I see many ppl change to 195/55 for better ride and handling? Not sure, but Gen2 and Persona using different absorber, Gen2 shares same absorber with Waja. another plus point is that 195/55 is cheaper, thinking of changing to 195/55 next round as well since waja/gen2 also using it. Probably persona using 195/60 for better comfort instead of sporty handling, but since my persona is so bumpy it doesnt matter Later variant of Gen2 CPS also switch to use 195/60/R15 profile. |

QUOTE(diversity @ Oct 29 2019, 12:50 PM) I'm using SACHS absorber front and rear, online it says waja/gen2/persona same. wow! I thought gen2 & persona using totally different absorber, especially for the rear!Probably that's why my absorbers so stiff and sporty (I prefer stock but foreman didnt took this one cause cheaper than stock). Guess I'll go for 195/55 when I wanna change |

QUOTE(iskazulka @ Nov 13 2019, 05:01 PM) tayar makan dalam ka luar ka have to check alignment lor, not about tyre pressure. biasalah proton alignment tayar makan, since 1st day collecting new car alignment dah lari 1 side, went 10 tyre shops pun sama je, same same no different.you drive, tyre roll also tayar makan. few months back went proton suspension specialist workshop check, kata steering rack, wheel bearing, rear tulang anjing, rear lengan, absorber semua kena tukar. Nanti price repair lagi mahal dr harga kereta, hoho. |
