That is why I am saying you should read and understand more before you go on and gulp your 'protein shake'. Carbs do not make you fat. Fats do not make you fat. Over eating does.
Fats are higher in caloric density hence it is easier to over eat. 1.5 table spoon of oil is 180kcal to 190kcal while 2 slices of massimo full wheat bread is 183kcal. You feel fuller with 2 slices of bread hence you will not have the tendency to go eat other food to curb your hunger. I have nothing against keto diet, but you need to know how nutrition work before following blindly on what they called fad diet.
Regardless what 'diet' you follow, calorie in vs calorie out. If you do not understand, go google more, read more.

Carbs or sugar intake immediately converted to glucose by saliva, ready to use by body at the very first instances, however insulin spike will convert excess glucose in stored fats in say the belly for future use. After the spike is over, your body starts craving for more again. This vicious cycle is repeated and the process of of storing the energy is repeated but this process is quite taxing to our organs, where the liver or kidneys are working round the clock just to store up excess energy, what for? So this is the reason to avoid carbs.
