i hv a couple of BDMV 1080p or 4k HDR that did not play full BD menu right.

with 209, one became good but the other still no good... but could be the rip was poor.
overall, i think the BDMV/BD iso 1080p/2160p HDR full menu feature is good enough, mature now.

it is this feature that i really appreciate Q10pro - i love to watch "the making", "deleted scenes"!

i think only EGreat can do this as well, no other box.

and with auto frame + auto resolution switch now, excellent.
*
Zidoo x9s (realtek 1295 chipset) can do full bluray menus as well. I have both Q10 pro and Zidoo. It already has auto frame rate and resolution sync as part of the android settings option. It also has extra hdmi input for pvr function. No internal hard disk bay though, which is found only in the higher model.

Even Zidoo DVD menus are also full navigation whereas Q10 pro can't do it ( still on 2.0.8 fw). For my old DVD concert collection menus and bonus features are important.

It is weaker in android functions though, with only android 6.

Does the zidoo also have uhd menu? Interested to see if the auto frame rate / resolution works as well as Himedia. Not many can do it right.
*
Unfortunately for now, as far as full Blu-ray ISOs are concerned, my collections are mostly 3D blurays iso (about 100). A few have problems with full menus of course, just like Q10 pro. But they have no problem playing with lite menus.

For 4k I am still not collecting yet due to storage size. For now I only have a handful of 4k mkvs and only one 4k ISO (Fantastic Beasts....).

The 4k menu (photo taken with my phone camera) is shown below. The zidoo home screen camera pic is next to it (1080p)

As for Zidoo auto frame rate and resolution , I can't say for sure if it's correctly implemented. It looks smooth to me, but then it could be my TV motion feature.

They are still developing their FW though and just released another update. If you have the money you are welcome to buy and try. The x9s is slightly cheaper than the q10pro. I suggest also to update to their latest FW before testing.

Can check the tv... a button on to remote to show what is displayed.. e.g 2160p 24hz hdr or 1080p 60hz, etc.

If same as video file specs, it is doing correctly.
*
My Samsung TV shows it as 2160p 24p (top right of screen) as in pic, but when the movie plays, this appears briefly on the screen :-

2160p/23.976hz

Uhd or bdmv... likely imprex not useful.

For other videos, i like imprex on, adds color n vibrancy.

Was playing an old dvd folder... eagles hell freezes over 1994.

Auto switched to 720p 60z.... nice! rclxms.gif

Talking about Eagles DVD, I transferred some of the my old DVD concerts to my thumb drive to do some testing on the Zidoo Home Theatre 2.0 poster etc.

It automatically scanned from the internet and got the following covers and info very accurately , although they are very old titles. For now the DVDs are mistakenly tagged as BD though lol πŸ˜„

I already got the HD DVD eagles farewell tour concert, so the Hell Freezes Over DVD is relegated 😊

Poster wall with Large icons and Medium icons .

Ok, sorry this is my last Zidoo post in Himedia thread πŸ™

The best one, imo, is eagles at capitol center 1977...remastered in dtshdma... when randy meisner was still with the band.

Anyway, there will be no more, never the same... as glenn frey has passed away....

Can Q10pro do this?

If yes, any links on how to do this? Noob hereΒ  console.gif

As AVFAN said, try movie bar in your app if you have it. If it scans the wrong info you can use the menu options to add/rescan manually or hide unwanted files from view.

Must be connected to internet for search. Specify which source (specific hard disk/USB drive etc. or all) to scan. Must contain recognised media files extensions. Try not to include unknown media files in your storage which you know won't have any posters or info available on the internet.

But I must say the moviebar app not very accurate or elegant, and I don't use it. It couldn't find any posters or info on my Terminator 3 (x265) mkv . Did a manual search and the best it could do was match it with Xbox T3 game cover πŸ˜„

Hi guys, I using HiMedia H8 Lite Octa Core (1G RAM+8GB) to play 3D movie ISO 40GB file size. The video able to play by H8 but blank (black screen) screen only, I can hear the audio and subtitle running at the background. Hence my TV could detect 3D signaling sent from H8 and switch my TV into 3D mode automatically.

Tried 2 different files but same result. Is the H8 could not support the latest contents?
*
What 3d tv are you using? Have you used other 3d media player before on this tv?

Also try a better quality HDMI csble.

Sharp LE830 thru pioneer AV receiver with thick HDMI cable
I tried to connect TV direct into media player with normal HDMI cable but same result.

I had played 3D contents on this media player before. Maybe the latest 3D files not supported on H8 lite.

Strange, I have the 835x and even when using the 5 year old Himedia 910A (Realtek 1186) I can still play recent 3D ISO.

Sound bad for me now.

I bought Q5 Pro but doesn't resolve the problem and worse. Seem Q5 player could read the 3D iso as the LCD screen showing the play time but no video, audio and subtitle at all. sweat.gif

Any opinion?

Try press the 3d button on the TV remote, switch between 2d and 3d, see what happens.

Also try some other ISO files, maybe the ones you have not properly copied.

Seem my pioneer receiver bottleneck 3D contents cannot go thru it.

I do cable direct from Q5 to TV and tested 2 hdmi cable provided by seller, it is working fine. Later, I use both tested hdmi cables to connect with pioneer receiver and TV doesn't appear any contents at all (no video, audio and subtitle).
Here my findings
1. Any settings to be done on Q5 to suit with Pioneer? At least H8 have audio and subtitle.
2. Any possible good HDMI cables can resolve this?
3. Can I connect HDMI and optical (audio) on Q5? Video thru Hdmi to TV and audio thru optical to Pioneer?
*
But your initial post you said you tried direct HDMI connection to TV but also no image.

If like that probably your H8 also won't have problem if you connect direct.

In the first place is this the first time you are testing 3D on this Pioneer AVR?

If you connect HDMI direct to TV and sound via Optical to Pioneer, then you have to set the Media Player sound setting to spdif raw.

Sorry for confusing. I always thought pioneer always pass through only as it won't process the video picture.

Should not the first time as I had 3D contents in external drive but I can't recall when is my last view on those files. Now thought of whether can convert 3D to 2D or lower video bits before it reaches to pioneer
*
On your Q5 Pro (I assume it's the same interface as Q10 pro) ,when your Native player is playing any video (mkv etc.) Press the menu button on the remote. Then select 'play settings' and then 'Default 3D/2D mode'. Select the 2D option. Exit the movie and player.

In future when you play any 3D ISO, It will play it in 2D. But I am not sure you will get an image or not when passthrough your Pioneer.

Shouldnt be HDMI cable issue as you have tested it

You didn't read his posts fully I presume. He just said when he connected direct to TV it is working fine.

i will try native player with 2D options tonight to try out again.
At least Kodi + Wrapper is working now, spent a night to troubleshoot hardware piece by piece within small TV cabinet. bangwall.gif
My TV was 3D supported, it can convert 2D to 3D but the picture are bad, the converted 3D almost flat as 2D. sad.gif
But still the best is 3D come from the video file contents and media player itself, seriously nice to view especially snowing scene.
my pioneer VSX820 receiver about 6-7 years old, not sure it can support 3D contents.
I assumed it should can since it don't process the video and pass through.

However unsure whether HDMI cable itself effecting the output quality.
H8 - no video, but have audio and subtitle thru AV receiver with same HDMI cable
Q5 - no video, no audio and no subtitle thru AV receiver with same HDMI cable

This receiver is fully capable of passing through 3D signals and meets the latest HDMI specification.

2d to 3d conversion is just marketing gimmick. Nothing but fake guesswork , don't waste your time.

At least download some 3D half SBS video mkv. Not as good as the full 3d iso, but at least it's converted from real 3d source.

Also half-SBS shouldnt have a problem with your pioneer AVR. Only thing to remember is, if your player or TV does not automatically activate 3D, you wii see a picture with two squashed frames side by side (hence it's name). You must then manually select the 3D SBS option from either your Player or TV (or 3d button on the remote) to activare SBS 3D.

Btw, You should also try to switch off and unplug your pioneer avr from the wall socket for 5-10 mins to clear any corruption in its memory. Maybe if you are lucky it might clear your problem. Updating to latest fw of your avr also worth considering.

In fact I could no identify which is 3D half SBS sweat.gif
Usually I will go for 40GB file only for good movies and normally nothing happen till last few days ago.

My AV could not update firmware, simply a basic AV thay 7 years old which not that high tech yet. But sharp TV could update the firmware and unsure I should try it or not.
Actually I not idea what the function of wrapper.

Since U highlight any wrapper, I simply do changes this morning, selected "Kodi Player" and TV could display in 2D at least. If I choose back "Wrapper Player" which seem required username password (for Samba?) and not contents display at TV at all.

I tried to play 3D iso from media center native player but could not show content too. Later I will limit the native player to playback in 2D only.
*
Those ahem torrent SBS 3D files will have the name SBS included in the name of the file, you can't miss it. Also the file format commonly will be in MKV etc. and the file size will be small, almost same size as regular MKV. It won't be in ISO format.

The wrapper is to enable Kodi to use the native player to play video files from within Kodi instead of the Kodi own video player.

When was the last firmware version without this issue? Anyone knows?

Yes, I mentioned the problem before. The futeko forum also got people complain. Don't know they will fix or not.
