You should have waited for future FW, see if they fixed or not. I think the problem is with only certain subtitles where the dialogue text timing is too close to one another, so the bug in the FW skip certain lines.

Sometimes I switch to a diff subtitles source (external/Internal), it solve the problem.

If bought from local seller like 'nicety' then it's european model. If order online from China website, then be careful

For me when first experienced the subtitles problem with the Q10 pro, I have already tried the same file with all my older players, all no problem with the skipping lines.

Only Q10 pro has this bug. I read in forums this only started in last few FW.

Sometimes if download a different external subtitle , which happen to have a bigger timing gap in the code (when a few lines of subtitles appear in quick succession), the subtitle display correctly.

So it shows that the Q10 pro FW, somehow ignore certain lines when the timing gap is too close to one another.

Yes, it doesn't happen too often. But when at crucial times, espc when two or more people talking fast at same time, missing lines can be frustrating, since difficult to make out what they are saying.

I also noticed another minor bug. Certain times when the time gap between two subtitles are too big, like long periods of silence, the last sub remains on the screen and doesn't go away until the next dialogue replaces it.

You should update to latest FW for the x9s to get the better UI and HT 2.0 wall posters interface, that you said you liked before.

There are lots of hidden options in the x9s which uses Android 6.0. Even the android adjustments settings is buried deep in the 'Quick Settings-Other-About-Advanced Settings' page. However If your unit comes with the 'Settings' app installed , then you could access that option quickly.

You should also auto sync your resolution and frame rate in the display settings options if your tv support 24p for smooth playback.

Also there is no separate file manager to copy, delete etc. It's all Incorporated in the Media Center itself. Try not to install third party file manager, they can bring some problems.

I installed ES File explorer once, and during some operations it corrupted my thumb drive. Had to reformat.

One more thing I forgot to mention earlier, the remote has 2 unused buttons (red and green) which can be programmed with some limited functions of your choice. The option is found in the quick settings. I chose to use them as subtitles and audio change buttons.

Currently I have not used extensively yet, as it is connected to my Samsung KS7000 4k tv, which is in the Living room. Refer to my post #22, 26 etc. , if you have forgotten.

My Q10 pro I bought earlier is connected to my AVR and Sharp 3D tv (full HD)in my bedroom turned into HT room (sort of).

The Zidoo can also do 3d of course, but unfortunately the Samsung is not a 3d tv.

Just go to home screen and select 'my apps', click on 'wrapper' and select 'set to wrapper player'.

Pop up menu chapter selection shouldn't be a problem.( sorry , pic taken in dark with my phone camera always look bluish)

I downloaded a Norah Jones SACD ISO for your behalf. Here's my findings :-

On the Q10 pro, it is not displayed as a valid music media. If I display all files and force play it , it produce some sort of error.

On my other media player, the Zidoo X9s, it played without problem.

Look again, your movie and subtitle have different name.
