For a gov servant, being sacked at such a late age is not lenient at all. He lost his pencen. Lost any medical benefit. No epf.

Even if he manage to find another work later, he have to start from 0. That is if he can find work. Who would even hire him. Any future employer see him being sacked from the gov will surely throw his resume in the trash bin. Much more for a case this well known.

Eh....not if you claim to graduate from a blue chip university.... undergraduate is much more difficult to enter, then masters or PhD, in the likes of Oxbridge or harvard...and the "real" graduates will laugh at the masters and PhDs if they claim graduates omitting their first degree....

As to the msian medical masters, it just so happened the gov in the 70s decided to assign postgraduate training to the universities....in other countries, it's a professional qualification, and in the commonwealth context, by the royal colleges, and in USA, by speciality boards....masters and PhD you collect along the way are not specialist qualifications....and which masters you actually get in msia depends on which of the original 3 unis accepted you....and some actually are already conjoint, so it matters not which awards the masters....

So, yes....your original uni of undergraduate tells much more than the latter qualifications.... especially the top med schools....and a reason why many people purposely omit their uni of origin in the letters after their names....
