That's right.... the convenience.

Another point is that if I can use card overseas, then I don't have to exchange too much currency. Always remember that after the trip, whatever currency not used, we have to sell it back, and we usually rugi. Small notes and coins cannot be sold, rugi also.
*
You should not sell it at a loss..might as well finish it up to buy souvenirs ...that's what I'll do.

BigPayJonathan

Is it possible for BigPay to limit the choice of currencies payable when used in overseas, i.e. pay in 'local' currency?

There are occasions where the cashier would just charge it in MYR instead of local currency without even asking which currency to pay from.
And the difference is HUGE!
*
I believe that's the DCC at work...

Quoted from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_currency_conversion
DCC services are generally provided by third party operators in association with the merchant, and not by a card issuer. Card issuers do not provide cardholders with a DCC option at the point of sale, but these two card networks permit DCC operators to offer currency conversion in accordance with their card processing rules

Hi, is bigpay card consider a debit card ? or a prepaid master card? Anyone tried bigpay to top up SSPN which only accepted debit card but not credit card.
*
Went to SSPN office to enquire. The lady says does not work with SSPN. Her boss says do not accept BigPay
Approval code received.
Money deducted in BigPay app.

i had somewhat similar experience, too.

Traveling to 2 countries. Bigpay detected both just fine and i spent in both countries respectively.
But at the end of the trip after returning to Malaysia, BP just lumped it up and say i spent a total of xxx amount in 1 country.
*
Does this mean when we reached the country's airport...remember to launch the BigPay app for it to recognize your are out of Malaysia ?

I realised one of my Petrol transaction status was changed from Pending to Settled. smile.gif
But it does not show the "Points earned field = +2 BIG Points" in that particular transaction screen. sad.gif

BTW, I'm not referring to the total BIG point summary

Hi all, I'm pleased to announce that our BigPay card works in Soith Korea. I withdraw from KB Bank (Kookmin Star) in Seoul without bank charges except for the RM10 BigPay withdrawal fee. However, please note that the KB Bank ATM terminal in Incheon Departures is different as it charges a KRW3,600 fee. In the city, it does not.
Can you see the "additional" fee shown on the ATM before confirm the withdrawal ?

Hi guys,

Wanna ask why Bigpay charge higher rate as refer to Mastercard® Currency Conversion on the same day?

If you select the transaction date on 2nd Nov... it shows 3.76. { 1 KRW = 0.003763 MYR }
I believe it's taken on the next working day smile.gif

Just compare a few transactions to verify.

Does the BigPay card has issue with CC terminals around Seoul ?
