The thing is... We only ever hear about the "problems". In percentages, the amount of failed top ups we experience is ridiculously low in comparison to the amount of transactions we have. Doesn't mean that it's normal or that we're not working to make sure they never happen at all... Our goal is for our users to have a seamless experience all the time. But there are many reasons why a top up could fail, including some that aren't necessarily in our control. All in all, I agree with you though: we need to be better. Just trying to provide some insights smile.gif

Thank you so much for attending to us.
I just PM-ed you about a transaction dispute of RM20 to Celcom-Rps or Boost, did not top up RM20 at 1:26am yesterday (8 Aug).

UPDATE: Thank you for the speedy reply Jonathan, I'll call CS during office hours tomorrow to officially file a dispute.

I just checked this morning and it seems like my issue regarding the RM20 dispute has been resolved and the amount reflected is now correct. Thank you again Jonathan and BP CS for looking into this.

On a side note, the freeze card issue comes in handy if you want to avoid any fraudulent transactions, I've tried unfreezing the card at 1 point in the midst of investigation in order to top up some money, and the top-ups went fine, then I continued to freeze the card. I'm not sure if it'll reflect immediately for payments when you unfreeze it.

The freeze button is not for us to use when we loss the card or when have fraudulent txn? We can simply click freeze account when we r not in use (eg, sleeping time), then unfreeze when we use it? Have u try to do card txn when u click freeze account?

There's another report stolen or missing function upon freezing card. Not sure haven't tried any transactions while freezing card.

Freezing means cannot use at all even somebody gets a hold on your physical card?
*
No idea.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Aug 14 2018, 09:10 PM)
curious: is there a way to UNFREEZE if after selecting stolen or missing?

else, it'd be a 1-way function to FREEZE-REPLACE rather than temporary suspension (FREEZE-SUSPEND-REPLACE)
*
No idea.

The BigPrepaid having this freeze button but web based, I did try this and it will be changed tl unfreeze button after you freezed the card. I'm not sure if this works the same as in BP apps.

Someone willing to be experimental mice?
*
Yes, freeze and unfreeze to top up, then freeze back while investigation is ongoing.

Mind to share more details.

The BigPay card system seems getting worse day by day.
Previously when I used it to do online purchase, every time it worked flawlessly.

Sadly, just now 8pm something, trying to buy some electronics from Lazada and never realize they were having issue. So straight away reloaded quite a big amount into the BigPay card ended up payment failed in the Lazada.

I was so disappointed with them. Now my money is in BigPay but can't use.
*
Sigh, can try calling BigPay to waive off the atm withdrawal fee? Imagine having to fork out 2x money for your intended purchase because it is stuck in BigPay sweat.gif

You can get XE rate via Paypal coz I get XE rate every time when I use PP to pay USD. Here are the steps:-

1. Login to your Paypal account, then go to this link -> https://www.paypal.com/my/cgi-bin/webscr?cm...nding&buyer_hub
2. Then click "Conversion Option" link next to your BP card
3. Then select "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice."

That's all! Suggest you do the same to all other cards too because PP conversion rate is quite high.

Thanks a lot, super helpful tip and detailed steps!

I made payment via UOB payonline using Bigpay. Hopefully goes through. Did not show up on Bigpay app yet and no email from them. They mentioned 4pm is cut off time.
*
Yes, payonline allows payment using any mastercard/visa cards, the transaction is not instant though unlike JomPay or M2U, it usually takes T+1 (working day), sometimes may be longer.

payonline is helpful as it does send an email to you regarding the payment status, useful as receipts too.

I was so blurry last night I paid TM bills using my BP card, only to realize that I should be using my PBB card,
hence I immediately froze my card and thankfully the BP transactions all failed,
allowing me to use my PBB card to pay the bills.

via uob payonline, not real time, if it's slow might take hours, if it's fast probably within minutes.

That is weird my 2 days ago transaction in malaysia all still in pending mode. so i can freeze all transactios if I wan to according to your description.

QUOTE(CloudComputer @ Sep 24 2018, 01:25 PM)
You cannot stop the pending transactions even you freeze the card, only possible when the transaction is not charged yet

Pending transaction is transaction that already charged on your card
*
Yeah, please don't purposely freeze your card, trying to cancel the transactions,
yes, the ones with pending status will still be charged.

Just to share my refund experience with Expedia via using bigpay. The cancellation was done on 25/9 afternoon and the full refund was rev next day morning. Much faster than credit card and without bank fees for full refund! What an awesome experience!

Good for you, last time my Shopee RM1 BP card verification fee took a week to be refunded, but that was back then, hopefully it has now improved significantly
