Did top up RM2,000. Planned to top up the remaining RM500 now cannot.
If we get back to travelling next year, this card won't be good any more.
*
You can always use online banking to top up if still zero charge on foreign transactions. Still better than if you use credit cards (except some credit cards).

Good to kill time only, RM10k/year is not a lot of money, if you are still young, spend more time in your career, you will earn more in long term. smile.gif

BP's excuse is that they have to absorb the fee. But don't they also need to pay fee on debit cards and online transfer?

*

The difference.

So most of ewallets accept debit cards only.

He is talking about this new Razer prepaid card:

https://www.lowyat.net/2020/223038/razer-pr...d-to-singapore/

1% unlimited cashback
*
1% unlimited interesting?
That is Singapore.
As per Bank Negara's proposal, local debit/prepaid card Interchange fee is 0.21% or (RM0.70+0.01%) whichever is lower! So I don't think Razerpay Malaysia can afford to launch a prepaid card with 1% rebate unlimited, maybe only for transactions related to Berjaya Group. Just like CIMB Lazada prepaid card.

Crap. I usually send car to workshop and they dont take credit card for payment method . Only bank transfer. So usually will just bank transfer them first the money, then topup my bigpay using CC and transfer back into my account.

Now have to find other methods
*
Funny your bank transfer is not related to Bigpay transactions. KKK KKS only.

But a lot of workshops now accept ewallets. Use your Credit/Debit card to top up ewallets then use an e-wallet to pay lah.

How to fund MAE?
From Maybank CASA only?
*
MAE is a Maybank SA with 12-digit account number, now come with a debit card.
You can DuitNow IBFT/IBG from any CASA (all the banks in Malaysia).

MAE can topup with CC?
*
Though MAE a just a Maybank Savings account which cannot be deposited from CC, but the cashback+savings I gained from using MAE (2019) could be more than CC rebate/reward to top up Bigpay + Savings on AirAsia transactions (2019).

what about now?
*
Now the campaign cashback is capped, cannot win a lot, but still good to spend at McD, Mr DIY.
But also a lot of outlets accepting e-wallets now, so I hardly use Bigpay card at retail outlets and AirAsia this year, I get a lot of discount/rebate from Grabpay, TNG wallet, Sarawak Pay, Razerpay and of course a lot of credit/debit card spending campaigns.

Changes again by BigPay: only 1 point for every RM30.00 spent effective 15th October 2020.

Well... at least it is still a nice looking prepaid card.... 😂
*
Good already as the discontinued BIG Prepaid never gave reward point for local transactions.

Good if like Razerpay, Boost, Lazada Wallet. Offer discount or cashback occasionally.

Soon become like gopayz then close shop
*
I am still actively using Gopayz, not feeling it will close shop leh!

I was using Big Prepaid for years, I could not use credit card to top up, no reward point for local transactions, monthly fee of RM2.50 if inactive. If Bigpay remain having promotions on AirAsia tickets and add-ons, I have no objection Big Prepaid is reinstated to replace Bigpay!

AirAsia having issue now.

Although BigPay is different entity but still under AA.

Any risk or chance like suddenly the BP account can't use?
*
They will refund you or ask you to use all the fund in your account if your Bigpay account is to be discontinued.
Just like the discontinued Big Prepaid card (Bigpay) and VCash (Digi).

Is there other top up card that is similar with bigpay? Minus the low exchange rate feature. Just a top up card that can get cashback when reload
*
Must use credit card to top up? Acceptable to you if it allows debit card only?

Are you comfortable if the card is issued outside Malaysia?

am curious what card is this that you're mentioning.

Allow credit card to topup to utilize cashback on the cc?
*
Good card for spending, but you can't use a credit card to top up...
CIMB-Lazada Prepaid card, Gopayz Unionpay card / QR.

Can use a credit card to top up, but not in Malaysia...

Very easy, you go to your Bigpay App, can you see who in your contact list are having the Bigpay card?

You can add any +601xxxxxxxx to your contact list / address book, try it one by one, eventually you can catch some Bigpay users.
