Question:

For overseas transaction, compare the below 2 cards, which 1 gives better deal?

1. Swipe with bigpay, no conversion admin fee. No cash rebate.
2. Swipe with maybank fc barcelona visa card, 1.25% conversion admin fee, but cash rebate 2% (cap rm50, equivalent to rm2500 spending).

Assuming we do not swipe above rm2500, It seems like option 2 is a better deal, no ?

Bigpay is always better for overseas transaction. It has been my go to card when traveling..many others including fruitie can attest to it. Save a lot of money on foreign fee. Arguement can be made if you are aiming for airmiles then using visa infinite maybank 2 premier is better for overseas depending on how much you value airmiles. Fcb vs better to use for local transaction to maximise the $2500/mth (excluding gov and ewallet).

some may call up the bank prior to traveling overseas to inform the credit card usage. Since BP is not credit card and not governed by bank, is there such need? Will the transaction be decline when attempting payment? Thanks.

No need to call. In fact when you are overseas, the moment you open bigpay app it will know where you are and advice you on current exchange rate and give traveling tips. At the end of your trip when you are back in Malaysia the app will also report to you total amount spent.

All the HLB one time or another. Some days can, some hours can, other time can't. I will usually try my luck melaka raya, ong kim wee, malim, batu berendam, cheng. Only one machine per branch will spit out rm100 notes, usually non cdm machine.

For some reason, BP doesn't work with Malindo. Tried many times to purchase ticket online but failed every time.

Even CS @ BP also clueless. Malindo told me to check with them.

Purchase tickets from AA no problem and flawless.

Yup, never been able to buy malindo with BP. Even lion air I think. Do work around. Buy using traveloka. Sometimes got promo some more.

Not sure if anybody notice this..Seems like local/international transfer limits are linked? As stated in bigpay faq, local transfer is rm1k per day max rm2k a month. International transfer limit not clearly stated but I think around 10k.
What happened was, I already did about rm4k intentional transfers this month, zero local transfers. But when I tried to transfer rm1k to local bank, the app won't allow me, stating I have transfer over rm2k and to try next month.
So maybe we need to do rm2k transfer locally first then only do international transfer.
Anybody had similar experience?

tHANKS. that means i can just go ATM witdraw all my 5k, 5x1k in 1 days, right?
transfer charges .50sen only? buT need wwait how many days to successfully into bank account?
*
ATM best to maximize $3k or $4k per withdrawal since each withdrawal is $6 charge. For local transfer, max is $1k/day, max $2k/mth, ie you can do twice in a month. $0.50 charge. Usually same day get or next business day.

Hi, just wondering, the limit of one credit card to one bigpay card is it still there? Ie can i top up 2 or more different bigpay with same credit card, or still not allowed? And if I remove the card from one bigpay, when can I add it to another bigpay account? Thanks.
