Especially in my field, electrical item. 1 kdk ceiling fan margin is RM 1-3 ringgit with the price of RM13x. If use credit card then it's gg~ if you sell higher, different RM0.50 also they keep silent and leave. sometime with the i buy many sets! extra discount storiesss bla bla bla and buying 3set is their so call many sets.
i tried few times explain to customer, margin very low and cant afford to use card, if use will charge 2%. some is ok, some even so fuzzy and said wanna complain BNM, report to consumer rights this and that. try so hard to explain in very good manner but kept being attack and like seek for argument. there is one time almost wanna fight with me and end up, i just tell the customer, ok, i dont have credit card machine. pay cash or leave. finish story. kik sim...
actually you can choose to work for other company instead of having own business.
Business have to face reality, you survive because of consumer ( of course another sentence is you create a value to the consumers.) give you $$.
the power of consumers will just be in growth rate. It won't be in down trend . that is reality.
if talk about pity, who is going to pity those consumers ? (there are human too) of course we hoping consumer can be smart enough and fight for their right.
