OT: i was screwed by RHB because they did not actually cancel my credit card even though i have called them to cancel that card 5 years ago. End up i have a bad credit rating for years and only knew it after subscribing JagaMyID from RAMCI. I had “annual fee outstanding” for years which should not be there at the first place. My credit was rated as “fair” because of that stupid RHB.

Anyone have experience being scammed or item lost in transit for overseas purchase? How do bigpay handle this? Are they helpful to do chargeback?

paypal conversion option is quite tricky and hidden.. it is always using paypal conversion rate by default.. even though the foreign currency is already chosen, you still have to click the conversion option and choose the correct radio button for bank conversion rate. otherwise it will proceed with paypal conversion rate.

From my experience, no. Using bigpay with paypal didn’t give me better exchange rate even though I chose bank conversion. It was around 2.5% extra if compared to xe.com, so no difference with credit card. Since then I avoid using bigpay with paypal.

For those with pending refund issue. I guess it is because you always freeze/unfreeze the card. Just avoid freezing the card if you’re expecting a refund.

This is my first time to send money to someone using bigpay. Is there any way we can verify that we are sending to the correct person before we proceed to send money? It doesn’t show the recipient contact number, just name, so I’m afraid that I will send to wrong person with similar name in my contacts.

Last night I got the same request too but from different name. I rejected the request and just now I received a whatsapp call from “bigpay”. Reported spam to whatsapp.

If you receive call or message for the first time from someone who is not in your contact then there are always report & block options appear

DuitNow and DuitNow QR are two different things. Bigpay will join DNQR e-wallet integration to allow merchants using single QR code and to enable fund transfer between e-wallets. Nothing to do with the topup source for each wallet or becoming CA/SA.

Had the same experience with maybank card about 7 years ago. The transaction worth rm2199. I even called both merchant and maybank after 1 month to make sure they charge it correctly. The merchant said they had successfully charged it in their system but maybank said nothing on their side. In the end I got it for free. Rezeki for me. 😊
