QUOTE(hyperx @ Jan 22 2019, 03:26 PM) Im no sifu, but ill try to answer based on my exp driving FWD Thanks for giving me the advice since you driving one. You bought the FWD one? First of all, to some people, SUV is synonymous with 4WD/AWD. Thus, they will opt for AWD when choosing SUV in any circumstances. Then there is the issues on traction and power distribution considering this CX5 comes with high torque, especially when cornering and wet surface. The main difference btwn FWD and AWD is that is has prop-shaft to the rear wheels giving better traction. The 420nm torque are distributed to all 4 wheels rather than only front 2 wheels. Thus, some people complained of torque steer and wheel spin upon heavy acceleration, which u can hear from some reviewers in youtube. Other than that, apart from RM10k different, some other things u need to know is that AWD consume slightly more diesel and cost higher to service as it has more moving parts. These gives me concern for awhile, but after being driving mine since Sept last year, i did not experience any issue on the wheelspin and torque steer. Even my wife can just step on the pedal heavily right away when entering roundabout from stationary. Its all about controlling the car. Its doesnt takes too long for you to get use with the power. But of course, please be careful when you are driving on the wet surface. Btw, mazda cx5 is using AWD system, not 4WD. Correct me if im wrong. I try the 2.0GLS that day, feel the leather seat is so so only. But I think if goes for Jap car, all their leather seat are similar cant compare with conti brand. |

QUOTE(blurkia @ Mar 13 2020, 10:04 PM) Hey guys need some opinion here.. I test drove the cx30 petrol high spec. It’s pretty good, handling also good, nvh low, but it doesn’t seat high like a proper suv and the space behind is cramp for me if I’m the passenger. Then I tried cx5 2.2d, not sure what’s wrong with it, I felt nervous driving it. Didn’t recall such feeling when driven 2.0 last time. Handling seems sub par, any idea why ? My wife seating behind told me that she felt uneasy, like going to get thrown off CX-30 is a crossover which is not a proper height suv like cx-5. Can explain further why u nervous driving the 2.2? Is it the car is bigger, higher or what you not used to it? I recently done the test drive the 2.5 with my wife at the bad and she did not complaint when I take corner at high speed. |

QUOTE(toos99 @ Mar 15 2020, 12:21 AM) True this. Took this to use as a daily as opposed to using a 3.8 as a daily. Turns out the 2.5T is as thirsty. Never reached 400 per tank before. Ron 95/97/shell/bhp etc. out the frying pan and into the fire for me. Yea man, I heard a few owner mention this to me as well so I just go for the normal 2.5 instead. Hopefully I could get the car next week.If frugality is what you’re looking for, avoid this pls. |

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Mar 15 2020, 09:38 PM) Thanks for your feedbacks. Which model u looking for? 2.0 will have the best milage . I go for 2.5 cause I wanted abit more power and I got a good deal. When you mean 1 full tank do you mean 56 litres or in between each visit to the petrol station where you may only fill up say between 40 to 45 litres |

I rented xtrail multiple times from Europe car when I came back to MAlaysia previously. The car is quite comfort when I travel regardless with 2 people or 5. Boot Size is decent and fuel consumption is great imo.
The things I dint like it’s the cvt and I feel underpower. The head unit is so old school compare to Mazda interface as well so that’s why I choose to get cx-5 |

QUOTE(Axell @ May 23 2020, 11:02 AM) Only the rear tint is on top of sky tint as worry might damage the heat thing. The rest rip off and stick new one. I am considering ppf for bonet and bumper. If whole car will be expensive right? |

QUOTE(PJS @ May 24 2020, 07:27 PM) Enjoy your car. Do report back on your 2.5T's fuel consumption. Mine was unsurprisingly.......high! 😄 Well, I think if I heavy foot abit it will be around 7km per litre but if I jaga sikit and use cruise control on highway will be about 10km per litre. I had done about 300km so far. The acceleration was so good and without much thinking you aldy reach 150km/h. Btw I see alot of owner complaint the brake wasnt good on cx-5, what is your opinion on this? |
