QUOTE(zafferZ @ Sep 29 2018, 02:44 AM) Been using the Sech60 & C50 HuperOptik tint, no issues whatsoever with SmartTag. GPS signal also is good. No issues. HAHA. I havent got my car. Still waiting now almost 4 months already! You know what, before this i joined the Mazda CX5 Club Malaysia - MCCM. Got one post where people asking about speaker options. And one of the member posted a comment criticizing the BLAM & I 'liked' that comment. After few hours i noticed I've been kicked out/banned from the group! I just cant imagine i've been kicked out from the group just because i 'liked' a comment. I didnt even leave any comments on that post. I just liked the comment and how on earth i've been banned because of that?! Its just ridiculous! P/S: Now i can only join the other Mazda CX5 group on FB. I got banned as well, and many others. No problem. Many good members willing to share information. Just like here. All good and merry. No need to be sour.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Oct 1 2018, 08:42 AM) Hi guys, I just went to do "idle tuning" last weekend with Sideq (To be precise he wasn't there but his staff Khairil was there. Very friendly and helpful guy). Gonna share with you guys. I will try to explain it based on what I know so feel free to correct me. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « What is "idle tuning?" Idle tuning is to tune the idling RPM when the car wasn't moving, slowing down and etc. The original idling RPM is 500 to 550 which is too low and it causes a lot of shaking and vibrations when the car slows down or when the car is not moving especially at traffic lights. The tuning will increases the idling RPM to 700 which eliminates the shaking or vibrations from the car.
So what's wrong with the shaking and vibrations? Very uncomfortable for the main reason. Secondly, strong shaking and vibration is bad for the engine mounting (replacing it could cost 1-2k or at least that's the amount I heard) - same goes to i-Stop as the constant start stops also causes a lot of shaking and vibration (I have no solid proof for this so it's up to what you believe).
What's the process? It's a very simple process. The guy will connects the OBD cable to the car and then laptop, opens up Mazda utility software and starts reading - which leads to around 30 minutes. Then the tuning actually takes only 5 minutes to change the original value to desire value (500 or 550 to 700). Then it'll take another 10-20 minutes to write back to the car.
How much does it cost and does it void warranty? The cost is only 150 bucks. Well it does certainly void warranty if found out but since any plug and play also void warranty, I guess it should not be a big problem. I was told there's no backlog or data change log to proof that idle RPM has been tuned and if you want to be safe, you can always find the guy and ask him to reverse back the changes.
How is it now? So far so good. No more violent shaking and vibrations when I slows down or when my car was on static waiting at traffic lights. The idling RPM will constantly be at 700. Will continue to monitor further.
What's next? If all is good, maybe by end of the year I'll go for the Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tuning to see if it helps in throttle lag, smoother gear change and better pick up response and performance.
Chairman, thanks for sharing. Did you disable to iStop as well?

QUOTE(aqmal_12 @ Oct 13 2018, 10:14 AM) I totally overlooked the engine break-in discussion here. So when I took delivery of my car, I straight went up to Genting as per my SA recommendation as to try and check for any problems. So definitely the engine revved way over 2000 rpm. Now I have read, what would be the implications due to above? Should I stress about this to the service centre during the first service? Thanks all in advance for the advise Just like girl, rough or gentle. Don’t shoot me. End of the day if there is something weird, just bring back to SC. Under warranty.

QUOTE(zafferZ @ Oct 18 2018, 10:12 AM) At last got my car: Jet Black 2.0 GLS Am very happy with the color eventho not my 1st choice color. Been waiting for 4 months plus! Some stuff: 1/ Able to get refund for the premium color paid & use that money for the power tailgate that comes with the car. Been told by SA the 1st few batch doesnt have the anti-pinch function. Mine fortunately got the anti-pinch function. No kick sensor. 2/ Upgraded tint to Llumar P4-35. 3/ Loving the driving dynamics so far. 2.0 is enough for my style of driving 4/ Plan to get a dash cam: Viofo a129 dual channel dash cam. 5/ Will drive the car for few months before deciding to upgrade other stuff: audio system, wheels etc. Congrats !!

QUOTE(nebula87 @ Oct 18 2018, 11:27 AM) Same subtle as yours i think. I thought it was my stuff that i put in the glove compartment, but it was not.. The sound is somehow coming from the middle of the dashboard, could be the fake center speaker there.. Besides that, when i turning my steering and driving on uneven road surfaces..there is a noticeable rattling sound too, not sure is it the same like the legendary 'kruk kruk' sound.. I got the mild vibration when stopping like chairman duckie highlighted. Can see the passenger seat belt buckle “dancing”. Rattling sometime got sometimes don’t. Live with it!!

QUOTE(voncrane @ Oct 18 2018, 03:09 PM) Bet the sound is like a rod rattling the sides of a cylinder pipe from the inside? If so, a quick trip to the SC will fix it. Took mine about 3 hours to fix. Yup.. Vibrate until belt buckle dancing is way too serious for me too. SC straight. I'm waiting for those too.. See how much it costs. Hopefully, lower prices by then. I only noticed it today while stuck in the jam reading the posts here. It is annoying but can live with it. Next service will highlight this to SC.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Oct 19 2018, 09:52 AM) Congrats bro! Not getting a GTR ya? Please update us ya. I highlighted to SC in Taman Midah and they gave me the standard answer - "I don't hear anything" or "It's like that one" Chairman, no wonder you decided to tune the RPM. I will go to the Setapak branch this time as someone recommended me to this SC. Seems like new and not many people.

QUOTE(NewSpring @ Oct 25 2018, 10:33 PM) I have exactly the same problem, seat belt buckle rattling, during engine idle and transmission in D while pressing the brake. Now vibration can even be felt on my bump and also slightly on the steering wheel and my foot while pressing on the brake. But vibration goes away in N. SC say this is normal, but I can't accept it. Have you solved the problem? Not yet bro. I will schedule the 10K service in the next 2 weeks time. Let see how it goes.
