I thought the ideal practice is change every 20k
*
40k should be still okay but if you want, you can even do it at 20k. As per what others have shared in last page, it's not easy to change the ATF oil as it's a sealed transmission. Easiest way is to drain and refill.

Same like the discussion on the ATF previously. You know something is not good for you but it is not 100%. Some people have no issue and some have issues. The technology is still new. I guess only time will tell.
*
Well there have been argument whether i-Stop actually weakens the battery or not, so far there's proof and facts from both sides. You can believe what you want to believe but i-Stop annoys the hell out of me so no no for me.

AND

Meguiars G13616 Quik Interior Detailer (For interior)

AND

Haven't use any of them. I'm using Mother's VLR for interior. For exterior I only use neutral shampoo like Meguair NXT.

actually nothing can prevent stone chips, imagine the windscreen is so hard/tough and yet can get minor cracks, what makes us think that paint protection can actually prevent stone chips?

However it can help your car look like a showroom car all the time on top of all the pros that you can get from the coating la.

I send mine to paint protection system (PPS) in Sunway, 2nd car coating with them already. satisfied with the results and price paid.  smile.gif

Already noticed kena stone chip and water mark when I wash my car. Just have to live with it sweat.gif

last time my car black colour and this time white, both also difficult to maintain, maybe I should go silver next time.

Don't really feel like paying 1.3k for that upgrade. I can do that with just 400 by doing the serial hack and install AA/CP via thumb drive. The only cons is that the hub port - meaning no faster USB charging but I can live with it.

Alternatively can get the Android Interface - can watch movie and add on more stuffs.

Having AA or Carplay is not so important for me. I don't spend a lot of time in the car. If I were to do it, I will also use the cheaper method. 1.3k is too much for me to justify for something that should have been given as a standard for all cars.
*
AA is super useful since Waze is very important when driving in KL. Alternatively use phone holder but it just doesn't look as graceful as having AA. Imagine a beautiful ballet dancer wearing slippers. Can work but doesn't look graceful.

But agree on the part of 1.3k being too much which should have been given as a standard for all cars. Definitely won't go for this option. If I were to fork out that much, I'll go for Android Interface instead.

I believe we all can agree on it being a nice feature to have and should have been standard. Given how much we paid for the car and all.. So hopefully in time (soon), we can have it done for much cheaper whilst within warranty.
*
Don' think it'll go cheaper given how Bermaz operates here in Malaysia. We can only seek alternative if we want it or else just live without it.

Have been using 97 most of the time. I do switched to 95 from time to time cause wallet bleeding sweat.gif The difference between both is very noticeable so I'll try to stick with 97 if possible. Now with 97 priced at 2.50, there's more reason to go for it.

*
No windscreen insurance. The SA didn't ask me to get it that time and I forgot to ask him to add on as well. Temporary just fixed the crack first. Cost about 250 bucks. Next year when renew road tax + insurance will get windscreen insurance and then claim it laugh.gif

Thanks for the feedback as my wife also suggesting me to go for the GLS instead of the GL. GLS with insurance is nearing 150K which is a big sum of money tongue.gif. I feel like it is a too big of an upgrade for me from RM50K myvi to RM150K CX5. Too bad no decent SUV around 100K else it will be great.
*
I too switched from Myvi to CX-5. Imagine the big jump in the monthly payment. CX-5 is like tier 2 upgrade. Honda city or vios are tier 3 upgrade. It falls below 100k but it gives you neither the hngghh feeling when driving nor the feeling when showing off to your friends, families and colleagues. Not to mention the stuffs you get, the driving experience and feeling, the raw power and shits you get from the car...it simply worth the money.

Tier 1 upgrade would be those continental cars like BMW 320i but those are even more costly. Therefore, GLS's price is between all of them. More expensive than tier 3 upgrades, cheaper than tier 1 upgrade but with rich features. If you were to choose the GL spec, then it's stripped off the features and you won't feel good (it's subjective though!) laugh.gif

Well said, honda city or vios are much affordable upgrade but less hnggh. I do no care about showing off to friends as I prefer lighter installment so maybe will consider a Tier 3 upgrade instead. But seriously no hnggh smile.gif
*
There are 2 kinds of people. One that goes all the way or one that goes bare minimum - both must be within the affordability la laugh.gif

So since you are already planning an upgrade, why not pick one that you'll like it and keep for a long time? Unless you plan to upgrade again some time in future like 5 years then probably not wise to go so high up.

Still, it must be within your financial capability. If you are capable, don't see why not go for it. Life is short, you only live once. Buy a car that you don't feel hnngghhh really does not motivates you to drive it daily. If you think that a car is just to ferry people, don't need to tukar laaaaa, Myvi can do it well. Cheap spare parts, cheap maintenance, good FC and tak sakit hati when kena calar XD

Did you feel the brake power is insufficient? I tried few emergency brakes before and I don't think the car can stop on time. I press the brake til the max limit and it doesn't feel like it's gonna stop fast.

One reason could be being SUV and at high speed so the inertia is very strong as compared to my old Myvi. My old Myvi event though at high speed but when I stepped on the brake I felt it can stop on time.

One of the lessons that the instructors teach at Mazda Advance Driving course is how to activate the ABS by slamming the brake to the max at 60km/h  biggrin.gif
Participants did mention that CX-5 brake power is kinda soft before we started our practical, so they asked us to jam brake at 40, 50 and 60km/h until we get the hang of it  blush.gif

I jammed mine at 120 but brake is so soft I think it won't be able to stop on time.

Yup, it'll definitely help to upgrade to performance brake systems.. But not just the pads.. Go for the full kit. Though, I've gotten used to handling the stock brakes and yes! It'll stop when needed. It has automatically braked twice and I've manually had to perform 3 or so hard maneuvers and braking from high speed to avoid a collision.. Car took it like a champ. Luckily fellow behind had some distance and could stop in time too. But yeah, got funds to spare? Definitely upgrade the braking system.
*
QUOTE(lil_flank @ Dec 14 2018, 01:23 AM)
Yeah, the Honda CRV 2.0 (previous gen) is quite boring to drive. The suspension is quite soft and the body roll is quite high.
The Mazda CX5 2.0 is quite fun to drive when the rpm is >3k. The only complain is the brakes.
*
Ya man. Given this car is for zoom zoom I was surprised to see the brake is so soft. Definitely can't brake on time if you zoom in the city. I don't tailgate people but I do zoom a lot in the city. Sometimes when the car in front does an emergency brake, I have to brake too and that time I noticed the brake is too damn soft.

Maybe will change the brake pad first. The whole brake kit is too costly sweat.gif
