Saw M6 being sold on AliExpress but it's China ROM and no indication of whether Google Play is available.

Really looking forward to M6 (more so if it is M6 Turbo), hope they launch it officially in Malaysia. Meanwhile, they just released M5 Lite here but I thought we already have it?

Not much price difference compared when you purchase it a year ago. Guess I should wait for M6 then

Was trawling AliExpress and XDA over the long weekend. On AliExpress, I saw 2 comments saying the M6 does not have Google Play installed.

Nevertheless, on XDA, I saw someone commenting that Russian users on 4PDA had managed to install Google Play and all associated services so Google works.

For the adventurous, I give you: The Huawei M6 Turbo, with Google Play.

if it comes with unlocked bootloader then flashing twrp to get gapps is sure easy
but if locked bootloader then, it is another thing to consider for purchase.
please be considerate, ya

unless the rom specifically blocks gapps, locked bootloader is not the problem. my china redmi phones all run with locked bootloader, china rom and gapps. nowadays getting gapps is as simple as running a "gapps installation" apk. my understanding is there was an issue with a version of M6 rom that made gapps installation impossible, there was a rom update later that fixes it. buying china rom devices are always a risk in this aspect

also, how am i being inconsiderate? was just typing in valley girl speak...no insinuation nor malice. had i ended with a wink wink.gif or "duh"...then i would be

Hi everyone, need your advice on which tablet with keyboard i should get.
My usage : YouTube, movies, gaming, work(ppt, word), calls

Im considering to get the m5 pro, my budget is 1.8k. Or should i just wait for the m6. When will it come out, and price wise for m6? Does m6 have keyboard as well? Im wondering is it best saving abit of cash by getting the m5pro or might as well wait for the m6 and have better specs..

Thank you

my view:

so far very happy with my m5pro - fast, stable and smooth. it's light, great speakers, good battery life and nice screen - so it's great for youtube/movies/music/light productivity. for games i can't comment much since i prefer hp for that. work wise you got to check out if ms office for android meet your requirement becos it's features are quite limited compare to ms office windows.

before you buy, you need to check if your fav apps are optimise for large tablet. apps like banking apps, news apps, shopping apps etc some are portrait only and you cant use the tablet comfortably in portrait mode with the keyboard attached. ofcos you can use the browser to replace and use it like a windows laptop style with the browser replacing apps.

Where you bought it, do you mind to share store link?
I'm also looking for m5 lite, would it get discount for coming 11.11?

My main purpose is using the m pen. HOw's your experience so far using m-pen? And is comfortable enough to hold it one hand...?

Bought it during pre-order with free gifts at RM 1299 at Huawei Physical Store. Able to exchange the speaker for 1 year additional warranty. M pen works well, comes with AAAA battery, comfortable bcos it's not too thin but size like normal pen. It's not suitable for gamers but excellent for content consumption, eg browsing, movies ,music etc. The 4 speakers are tuned by Harmon Kardon and it's good. The m pen works with spread sheets and word - mobile edition (free). Must order a case later as it's not easy to holds without triggering the sensors or buttons.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
I read some reviews it was mentioned that it was a bit slippery when using the pen, mean not much friction. Is that the case?
