Devices outside china confirm can upgrade?

it was in the 100 device to be upgraded to harmony os, i suppose it should.

Where can I find the list of 100 device that can be upgrade to harmony OS ?
Any website ?

you can see the screen shot at the end for full list which include mediapad M5 and mate 10.

mediapad M5 not in the update list ?

scroll to the end - the black colour pix, that was the full list shown in harmonyos launch. you can see mediapad 5 pro at the right (incoming H1 2022).

saw the left side but not all model of mediapad.Those M5 8 or lite doesn't include.
What about Huawei MatePad T8 ?

i just share only, not sure about those you listed. maybe will get later, huawei track record for tablet updates are spotty unless you buy their flagship.

software support for flagship mediapad m6 and later seems very consistent. i think they woke up after m5 pro

Interested to get this tablet. Not much good 8 inches around and the price is reasonable now. ~1k.
Whats the latest Android OS it support now?

my M5 is on Android 9.

EMUI 9.1.0

the mediapad series is very old.

maybe its better to look at the newer matepad - ofcos its 10inch and got to note there is no google apps/gms, so check if you are ok with that.

if you really must have a 8inch tablet then can look at samsung tab a 8 2019 with s-pen. its kinda sluggish with only 3gb ram and mid processor. but it has s-pen though the UI for me is kinda yuks.
i am not sure if samsung has later replacement model.

Outdated software version is possibly the only downside to this tablet. Still crazy good hardware even 2 years after launch.

very true, hope the incoming HarmonyOS will solve this

the mediapad m5 8inch will beat the samsung tab A 8inch anytime.

Anyone tried buying secondhand M5 8.4"? I saw a few used ones on Shopee

It's still on sales for RM1050 by one of the seller in carousell. Brand new local set.

harmony os did it landed on our m5 pro yet?
or better still, anyone can suggest good custom rom?
feel that the existing emui too sluggish and out of time already
