*correction, when I mention pocket I mean Jersey pocket. Not pants pocket... Someone pm me about my pants middle pocket. doh.gif

Later tonight will post a pic with the stuff in my jersey.

AquilaTE: why have you not gotten a jersey???? Hahaha well I have the same reaction when I started bike. I told myself I'll never ever get those stupid looking jersey. Those ppl pro wanna-be! Lycra this Lycra that. doh.gif end up now I have 9 jersey + 1incoming(paid yesterday)
*
Oh my... wasn't me definitely... and that's an eye opener... middle pants pocket... shocking.gif

Well... I started with mtb so I tot I probably start with the free dri-fit t-shirts from those ride events b4 I get my personal favourite. Fast forward to today, waiting for my 1st race jersey coming this weekend for Lekas ride next week. Probably after this, I'll look for my personal favourite race jersey as well. Used to dissed my bro on his lycran too but I end up a lycran barbarian hybrid... lol

I used to have saddle bag.... which was ages ago. Stopped using them a while back. Now I keep everything inside my jersey pocket whether for normal ride or racing. I somehow feels annoyed looking at saddle bag on my bicycle, same with the front light. Never own front light before (i do own a rear blinker) even though i used to do a lot of night rides. Found them to be bulky, unnecessary extra weight and the design doesnt match the bicycle. Its like buying an expensive phone and then wrap it in a bulky ugly phone cover where by the end it looks like a brick. Just my personal view on saddle bags and front lights tongue.gif

I need both the front and rear lights as 70% of my cycling is at night as I always put safety first. Am using those streamlined lights therefore bulkiness and weight isn't a problem... I probably am the opposite of you in terms of expensive handphone metaphor, I still value function over form... thus the saddle bag and the ugh... top tube bag whistling.gif

80mm valve tube is very important as a lot ppl might be using 50mm wheelset and they dont have spare valve extender, rendering those short valve tube useless.

missing from my setup is a chain cutter, but its very very rare for a roadie to break their chain, so its fine.
*
u ride deep 50mm wheels? if not, why bother about others? sendiri ride 50mm wheels, sendiri bring 80mm valve tube la

My friend has blue and red. Night ride is ok but day ride cannot nampak the light. If you use white as tail light, it will confuse other road users either you move follow or against the traffic flow.

I'm not using the white for rear. I have the red version of it plus the Lezyne Strip Drive for rear blinkers. The front, I am currently using the Lezyne Microdrive but I may switch to the cheap white one when I do GCE or other day riding...

Not saying avoid mavic. Coz I got in touch with few mavic dealer/salesman agent. Non of them know what the f**k I talking about and keep insist the plastic Y come with it can fix it (old design to open the hub cap) which make me facepalm. Many dealers are outdated

Mavic still a very good wheel. Just don't abuse it too early until supplier/shop start carry their repair tools. Else they can't repair they end up using hammer force pry to open it (you don't want that)

Yes I using 38 + 50mm combo. I seriously didn't expect the 50 to be that heavy to pull even it's a really light under 800gram rear wheel.... I'm just too weak :cries:
