Does charging our phone overnight i.e 12midnight until 6am or so like that, is that okay? Or its not okay for oir phone especially for the battery. The battery life will be shorten or is there other negative effect. Btw, is our smartphone can detect their battery is fully charge then negate or stop charging even though the charger still intact? Anyone have knowledge can share.

Dun be paranoid TS.
Just stepping out of your front door can kill you, but i dont see you hole yourself up in your house, never to come out for all eternity... ...
Just charge and use as per your convenience.
Some methods seem slightly better than others, but more often than not the difference is NEGLIGIBLE. The difference of use case between 1 person and another, not to mention varience in QC and build quality among brands and tiers, are too wide... There is simply no best way to use or charge any battery operated device.

If you are using genuine/original charger, there is nothing to worry about.

Anyone have knowledge can share. Technically, - it's better for the Lithium based battery life to be disconnected once it reach full charge even though they are designed with a protective circuit to stop charging once full. Keeping the battery at full charge actually place a lot of stress on it. Practically, - just charge it overnight, you will most likely change phone in 1 - 2 years anyway. If you still want to keep the phone, then replace the battery once the old battery is no longer good.

QUOTE(TaikorBinTycoon @ Aug 3 2018, 03:44 PM) For some reasons, ur phone will overheat when charging. Hence, better to use a power socket timer to limit t charging time at night. E.g. 2am to 6am is off Need an explanation. How does a phone overheat when it's fully charged?

I still stick to the charge-when-Im-around method but so far never had issues because ill ensure the phone is charged sufficiently before the next day.

I charge over nigjy using the lowest speed. 0.5amp and 5v. Sure can full my s9 plus.
Now all this day all mid range or high end phone do build in the power magement chip. Even hp below 400 alsp have. If u really worry to burn your house. Here the suggestion. Charge using powerbank.
