Technically,- it's better for the Lithium based battery life to be disconnected once it reach full charge even though they are designed with a protective circuit to stop charging once full. Keeping the battery at full charge actually place a lot of stress on it.
Practically,
- just charge it overnight, you will most likely change phone in 1 - 2 years anyway. If you still want to keep the phone, then replace the battery once the old battery is no longer good.
