What's the difference between a ds-1 and ds-2? Which one is actually a better buy? I'm still considering the two of these.

The DS2 is more versatile with its extra mode though.

Anyone interested in custom stompboxes? Got a friend who can do the circuits...currently almost done with Big Muff and Proco Rat clones.

Pricewise...around RM 300 for 1 stompbox. This includes an aluminium enclosure, true bypass, metal footswitch (like MXR pedals), can be powered by either 9v battery or DC jack.

I have the DS2 but I think both the DS-1 and DS-2 sound differently with each other. The DS-2 seems like a 'digital' fuzz pedal to me while the DS-1 has at least a little more warmth to the sound. Then again I can't be sure as I haven't played either pedals for years now!

Nonetheless the DS-2 has a very distinctive sound, Kurt Cobain used it this song... couldn't rmb which but it has a very cutting and almost fuzz-like tone. IIRC, he used the DS-1 on Teen Spirit.

anyway , whether his mods sucks or DAMN NICE..

Saw quite some guys in sg using this pedal. Cheap and does the job.

how would you compare it to the MT2 ?
never had a chance to do so.
its slightly cheaper than the MT2 only, like rm40 difference
