i think a good all rounder would be the boss ds-1 but don't expect too much out of it if you're looking for a deep metal crunch.

i get crazy feedback if i turn any EQ knobs on my amp above 8 oclock

Overdrive or distortion is literally what it means....

Overdrive means you push the drive past it's limit, breaking up it's sound.

Distortion is pushing it even further until it distorts the sound.

If you buy an effects pedal, you'll get the same thing as turning on the overdrive/distortion on your microcube.

how would you compare it to the MT2 ?
never had a chance to do so.
its slightly cheaper than the MT2 only, like rm40 difference
