but switching sound using a foot pedal is so much easier than switching using an amp switch . i think that's why most people would choose a compact pedals instead of amp distortions. imagine playing "fade to black" and having to switch from clean to dist using your amp. . unless of course the amp has a foot pedal switch jack.
