Pilot of Air Force Training Aircraft crash found dead

The second pilot of the T-2 training aircraft crash which went down 7 miles north of Sparta has been found dead.
The Air Force search and rescue teams have found the pilot of the two-wheeled training aircraft dead, about one and a half hours after the fall of the T-2.
Earlier the co-pilot was found alive.
The two training aircraft operators used the automatic ejection mechanism and abandoned the T-2 before it crashed.
For safety reasons, the two seats are ejected with a small amount of time in different directions. Thus, while the co-pilot of the plane landed safely on the ground and alerted the Air Force authorities to the point where he was communicating with his mobile phone, the unlucky pilot who was not able to escape.
For now, the reason for the aircraft’s fall is unknown.
The aircraft had taken off from the Kalamata Aviation Training Center.
Helicopter crashes in Afghan army base in Balkh province

A helicopter crashed in an Afghan army base in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan amid fears several people on board have been killed or wounded.
A spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps Mohammad Hanif Rezaie confirmed the incident and said the helicopter crashed at around 7:30am local time in the Shaheen Corps headquarters.
Rezaie further added that the helicopter belonged to a foreign firm and was about to leave for Faryab province when it crashed and caught fire.
According to Rezaye, four public order police soldiers, 4 army soldiers, and 2 national police soldiers were on board when the helicopter crashed.
The officials are saying that the helicopter has likely crashed due to technical issues but there are no reports available regarding the casualties toll.
Indian MiG-27 Fighter Jet Crashes in Rajasthan - Defense Ministry

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) - An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-27 fighter jet crashed on Tuesday during a routine flight near the city of Jodhpur in the country's northern state of Rajasthan, and the pilot has managed to eject safely, Indian Defense Ministry spokesman Sombit Ghosh said.
"A MiG 27 aircraft airborne from Jodhpur crashed during a routine mission today morning. Pilot ejected safely. A Court of Inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident," Ghosh told reporters, as quoted by The Economic Times.
The crash has not resulted in any casualties among civilians on the ground as the jet crashed on an open field.
American trainer killed in Riyadh helicopter crash: Saudi state media

RIYADH (Reuters) - An American trainer working with Saudi Arabia’s National Guard was killed on Thursday in a helicopter crash in Riyadh in the course of a routine activity, a statement published by state media said.
The Saudi statement gave the trainer’s name as Paul Reedy and did not say whether he was a member of the military or a civilian. The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A Saudi trainee pilot was injured in the crash at Khashm Alan airport in the east of the Saudi capital, which involved a Boeing AH-6i light helicopter gunship, the statement said.
Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the incident.
T-38 crashes at Sheppard; pilots stable after ejecting

A T-38C Talon II trainer aircraft crashed after it departed the runway before taking off from Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, Tuesday morning, the base said in a release.
The two pilots of the T-38 ejected from the aircraft. One pilot, U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Charles Walet, was taken to United Regional Medical Center in Wichita Falls and is reportedly stable, according to an update from the base posted on social media Tuesday afternoon. The other, German air force Maj. Christian Hartmann, was taken to the Sheppard Clinic and treated for minor injuries.
Walet is assigned to Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma, and is temporarily assigned to Sheppard.
The plane, from the 80th Flying Training Wing, crashed at about 10:13 a.m. local time at the Sheppard air field, the release said.
“We are grateful both aircrew members are safe, and for the outstanding response from our fire, security and medical personnel,” Col. Lendy Renegar, vice commander of the 80th, said in a release. “We also greatly appreciate any expressions of support from leaders and members in our local community.”
Arab coalition pilot and assistant killed in helicopter crash in Yemen

JEDDAH: A Saudi-led coalition pilot and his assistant were killed in a helicopter crash in Yemen Friday, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Saudi-led coalition Spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki said that a Royal Saudi Land Forces helicopter crashed at 8.20am local time as a result of a technical failure which resulted in the death of the pilot and his assistant in Yemen.
The two men died whilst on duty fighting terrorism and combating smuggling in Al-Mahrah province, eastern Yemen.
Al-Mahrah province, bordering Oman in east Yemen, has seen little fighting compared to the rest of the country.
Syrian regime accidentally shoots down Russian military plane

A MiG-29 fighter jet has crashed in the Moscow suburbs. Both pilots managed to eject from the aircraft, local media report.
The twin-engine jet belonged to the Gromov Flight Research Institute, media reported, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, a spokesperson for the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). Both pilots ejected from the aircraft and survived. One of the pilots allegedly received an injury after he ejected from the aircraft.
“The plane fell in the forest near the village of Dmitrovskoye. The reasons for this are being investigated. Both pilots managed to eject,” security sources told Russian news agency RIA News.

There were no casualties or damage on the ground as a reuslt of the crash, which was far away from populated areas.
YANGON: Two Myanmar fighter pilots were killed in separate crashes due to heavy fog Tuesday, officials said, with the debris from one of the planes killing a young girl in her home.
Poor visibility caused one F-7 jet to fly into a telecommunications tower near Magway air force base more than 500 kilometres northwest of Yangon, an air force official told AFP.
“He had no time to eject,” said the official, who did not want to be named.
A 10-year-old girl, who was studying at home, was hit by a piece of the plane after it struck the tower, lawmaker Kyaw Swan Yee from nearby Min Buu town said.
“She died after arriving at hospital,” he said.
In the other incident – which ocurred just 10 miles (16 kilometres) away – the pilot managed to eject from his plane but was killed when he hit the ground according to the official.
Two pilots killed as Royal Saudi Air Force jet crashes during training

Two Royal Saudi Air Force pilots have lost their lives when their training jet crashed during a routine mission in the kingdom’s northwestern region of Tabuk.
The British-made and single-engine BAE Systems Hawk aircraft was on a routine operational training mission on Monday when it suffered the mishap 100 kilometers away from the city of Tabuk and close to the border with Jordan, online Arabic-language newspaper Sabq reported.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known and the air force has launched a probe to determine it.

Tunisian pilot survives plane crash in military exercise

Several people were injured Friday 19 October 2018, when a US Navy MH-60 Seahawk crashed on the USS Ronald Reagan’s flight deck in the Philippine Sea, according to theScramble Magazine.
The helicopter crashed upon takeoff on the flight deck of the USS Ronald Reagan. Several crew members were injured.

L-39 Trainer Jet Crashes in Russia's Krasnodar Territory

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - An L-39 military trainer aircraft crashed in south Russia's Krasnodar Territory during a scheduled training flight, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
"Today, at about 5 p.m. Moscow time, when performing a scheduled training flight near the village of Dolzhanskaya of the Krasnodar Territory, an L-39 jet trainer crashed and fell into the water," the ministry said.
It said a search and rescue team was looking for pilots in the area of the crash.
"The plane was flying without ammunition. According to preliminary information, a technical malfunction could have caused the crash," the ministry said.
