anyone done coating or waxing after getting their car? is it wise to do so? I'm waiting my 1.5av red to arrive, planning to do coating after get my car

Ofcourse, get it done asap. My front end already got stone chips in the first week. Very easy to get chips.

how much does it cost for coating?

best to use Meguiar Pastewax or Turtlewax Pastewax.
Much safer for car paint if corroded stuffs drop on your car surface and can clean up safely.

Experienced once that bird shit drop on car paint under hot sun and car paint damaged.

Coating or waxing wont prevent stone chip.
Dipping should be able to against stone chip.

DIY if u want
RM100-RM150 for the paste wax + few cans of coca-cola

For professional coating, RM500-RM2000 or more

Depends on what grade you want and what budget.

Mid: Q'MOHS - 5yrs wty

haha, no la, my front end still naked.. when i was wrapping the chrome grill i just realize there's chip mark already.

my personal experiences with car detailing, whatever sort of wrap or dip or coating, soon or late stone chip will back also if we planned to drive daily.
no to mentioned the scratches yet. unless planned to keep the car for display purposes in show room then is fine.

the only things we can do is increase the lifespan of car paint to against the harsh environment, eg: dust, rain, bird drops, dry leaves. etc
As stone, i dont think so. throw a big stone toward car sure dented.

I have another question: once I get the car in KL, I drive the car to JB but make sure the RPM is below 3k.... my SA said should be ok. Any comment from sifus here?

any rpm will do.
just make sure below 80km/h for safety reasons just in case any screw loose when driving which due to factory defect, so accident happened.

yea of course, coating will not protect your paint from physical contact, what it does is just retain the shine and depth of the paint.

if you wanted protection, PPF is the best bet, we are experimenting with some new self healing PPF at quite affordable price now.
