currently got 12 months ps plus free 3 months netflix which im keen to buy. however, i use my R1 mainly for gaming.. is it possible for me to multiplayer using R1 main account if i have R3 ps plus ?

Yeap. But the R3 account has to be made the “primary” account. If a PS4 has a primary account with an active PS+, all accounts used on it will be able to play online.

oh thanks you for the fast reply.. so it makes sense to create one R3 account on purpose and buy the ps plus and activate it as main account (although i have no intention to use this R3 account) and then continue using my r1 account right ?

It’s for families/shared account between family members.

Having said that.
If Sony decides to change their policy then this might backfire. Though that’s really unlikely.
