Already back from the TC Service. Quite a lot wear and tear item need to be change.

The critical one is:
1) Battery: There is 2 batteries for the car. previous owner uses small battery for the big battery, that’s why the Hybrid/Start Stop idle function is not working. aisey... Just replace that one for cost of RM550

2) As per others said, CVT fluid is became a bit dirty (after the inspection), total cost of RM450 if I’m not mistaken. Haven’t change yet due to no stock. Need to order. (already booked for next 2 weeks)

3) Brake Pad for the back is already thin... So, need to replace for the cost of RM350 per set. (need to order also)

4) there is a lot of small2 item that has been affected by wear and tear. such as absorber and buffer etc. Will do it step by step with total cost might be around 2k to 3k as per TC advice.

Also, I found out the previous owner did send the car to TC a few times, but might be did it in kedai bawah pokok as well. but what surprised me is the mileage is significantly different.

My car is stated mileage at 80k. while previous owner record (his last sevice at TC) is on January 2018 is recorded at 160k... I was like WTF!!

Already ask TC how come, they don’t know, ask my dealer who sell me the car also don’t know.

The car overall is good, just need to replace quite few items that was affected mostly by wear and tear. but the mileage issue really makes me frustrated...  sad.gif

Good to let TC Service run through for the first round. Some of the parts such as absorber etc can try get quotation from outside workshops.

Looks like no major issues with the car. Only bummer is the perceived mileage. More of a mental annoyance of this surprise. Just move on, knowing that the car is fairly in good shape.

How many litres required ? Is it including flush ?
RM450 can buy 9 litres already.

This car C26 is the facelift version not the CBU car

Average price for this model is 75k car price and about 80k OTR depending on the NCD you have on insurance of course

Thats the most frustrating thing youll have to live with when buying a used car, most dealer and im sure of it tampered with the mileage.

Half of the actual mileage is normal adjustments that they will make.

Best to have a friend who works at Nissan,Toyota or Honda service centre so they can help check mileage of the car we are buying

Any good workshop in PJ/KL for Nissan Serena C26? My warranty has expired and am looking for a good one outside for maintenance services.

Yes.. So far so good. I just keep doing service in TC. There quite a few good workshops as well recommended by members.

In summary just satisfied with the car

I am planning to get used version, but afraid of too old. Not much budget to be honest. For the budget, I can get a new Exora, but the Serena very tempting to me. Any rough idea on annual maintenance fees so far?

The maintenance is quite expensive compared to other standard jepunis. As example:
1) Perodua will cost around rm200 for standard mentenance (not major)
2) Honda is quite the same with perodua
3) But for this car, each maintenance will cost around rm400 to 700. I'm not sure cost to maintain in standard workshop.

But, the car is good overal. It's just a bit expensive in maintenance and spare part (i think becuase of Tan Chong)
