IPTA result only come out after 3rd week of June. 1 July already need to register ..

if cannot get from petronas.. try to get from other. The most important thing if u dont get the pet scholarship is to score in exam. Then UTP will assist u in finding scholar.. PTPTN, Proton etc.. (u even can find on your own)

From your experience, what is the percentage of student that were accepted to get the scholarship in UTP and the student that didn't get the scholarship but were accepted to UTP?

from my obseravation. percentage to get the scholarship is like 90%?

most of UTP student has scholar. either PETRONAS, MARA, PROTON or PTPTN.

as the toughest course. it depends maybe. i cna see a lot of handicap given by chemical engineering lecturer there.

FYI, there is only 21 STPM because it's the january intake. January intake normally focus on SPM only. I think there should be more offers. Percentage of getting petronas scholarship is high, as long as you did well in your interview. Otherwise you can apply jpa, ptptn, mara, and more scholarships in coming in. You will surely get your fund, no worries.

All course in utp is getting tougher and more competitive. The benefit is that you get to learn more, and more competitive when you graduated.

Sistem Maklumat Perniagaan = Business and Information Technology (BIS)
It used to be IT only, but UTP wants their graduate to be even more competitive, so they require IT student to minor in business, hence BIS. UTP is setting up more new courses, and I haven't heard anything like software engineering. Perhaps its a specialization. Attend the Educamp and ask them. But you are in the right course.

UTP has many students from Kuching, no worry. If you need tips about the educamp, please msg aurora(my super senior), he is from Kuching.



Irzani, as the number of students per intake increasing every year, the percentage of students din get scholarship also increasing.
Last time, one intake around 400 students.
July05, my intake was almost 800 students.

From the courses I read, it's specialization more to E-Business and Knowledge Management rather than ICT that more to the Multimedia and Virtual Reality or Software Engineering . Since I learned or heard a little bit about majoring in E-Business or Knowledge Management when I'm in diploma, I'm more interested to learn a pure software engineering that teach us about Artificial Intelligence, Software Testing & Reliability, Software Architecture & Pattern, Software Agents (but not Embedded System ) . E-Business need a little bit hard work since I'm not use to them especially when some of the module is economics, accounting, principles of finance, management & organisational accounting . And it only a little credit to transfer rather than ICT. But, both is still good ..

no worries. altho u might panic whenever it comes to the interview, but the spirit and the knowledge is all wad matters the most. altho u stumble on some tough questions, dun give up, try and try, show them u are there to fight for a place in utp.

p/s:if u are accepted in utp, gimme a call man! i m a UTPian, and i m proud to be one. *cheers* =)
