Hi guys. I’ve just started my keto diet for a few weeks, and I’m in a big dilemma. I still have a just-opened ON GS whey, any expert in keto-diet here that can explain to me? Am I allowed to take whey protein when I’m in keto-diet? Coz many are saying that large amount of protein consumption can cause insulin-spike. But there’s an article online that says it doesn’t matter, and it will not take me out of ketosis??

To me, if your TDEE is 2000 and your keto intake is 2500, you are not going to loose anything. Meat that you eat will spike insulin too. So to me, don't be too anal with the small detail. Look at the big picture.

Ketosis doesn't matter. It's a side effect. Are you chasing ketosis or are you chasing fat loss? At the end of the day calories matter. Ketosis just ensures you have a better appetite suppression and adherence to diet but you still need to be at a deficit. So as long as the protein is within your calorie range take it.
