steering heavy may due to the 16inch tire size?
more big size of tire more heave feel ?

might not. as tis can be overcome with power steering
and the tyre profile for brv is quite high...

but brv power steering is electric instead of hydraulic right?
hydraulic still more light ....

anyway...as long as normal ...then need time to used to it ...

It's the opposite... electric steering feel is lighter than hydraulics but hydraulics you are able to feel the feedback from the road thru your steering more than electric.

feel the feedback from the road ...meaning to say that when hit or by pass small rock or hole..the steering will easily shift either left or right ...

as for brv...not easy noticed the feedback caused the steering heavier ...

Yup and sometimes when you take corners... the steering will so-called fight or have resistance towards you but trying to centre itself.

As for BR-V, nope... not due to heavier steering but the electric power steering... it's like a power exoskeleton armour to put in sci fi term... power assisted.

Previous car was a City so that one was an electric steering... b4 that, yeah... were all hydraulic power steering and non-powered steering...

so from hydraulic shift to electric steering ...no noticed any different in steering handling?

I can tell you it's pretty light the feeling... not like the hydraulic where can still feel a bit of resistance...

Anyway, I've been using electric power steering for almost 9yrs now... so, I'm pretty used to that feeling unless I drive some other cars with a different setup... like my wife's car which is a hydraulic power steering...

Anyway, apart from power steering... the width of the tyres do effect the heaviness of turning the steering wheel... the wider it is, the harder it gets... basic common sense...

im shift from 14inch tyres with hydraulic 5 seaters ...to 16inch types with electric 7 seaters ....

i felt was heavier...

Ic ok... my transition was from a 15inch broader tyres(can't recall the width) to the stock City's 15inch 175 was a big difference... turning the steering was like featherweight... but a month later, I upgraded to the stock 16inch rims with the 185 tyres, I could feel the steering gotten a little heavier.
