Nail polish also no use, coz it will make worse, got thinner substance.

Polish alone will remove the scratch but the surface of acrylic, the contour will not 100% flat if the scratch hard/deep you need to polish more. Result slightly out of reflective (bayang) image from acrylic.

i assure you even 2000 grade sandpaper wont get you the original chrystal clear smooth look of acrylic if thats what u're looking for. u need those liquid abrasives or rubbing compound.

BUT if you use Nail polish for deep scratch, fill the scratch with nail paint leave it to dry and polish with rubbing compound. But try at your own risk . Just and idea, i not yet done personally.

Tamiya Rubbing Compound... works well with everything.

Sandpaper does not work, the top layer of the acrylic will get some mist effect. Can try but use the highest grade you can find.
Nail polish does not work cause of different density when light pass thru can see the crack at certain angles.
Tamiya Rubbing compound...this one I don't know.

I think if you want to tes I think can use microscope slides? I think its the same material.

Thats the problem with acrylic casings, must put in safe environment.

here is my experimen, using nail polisher. will try to find something such as rubbing compound to rub it and repeated the procedure for several time.

That costs a bomb. Last time I bought, it was like rm30 for a puny lil tube. Worst thing is nowadays kids dont play Tamiya no more n cant even buy it from local shops. Scale modelling in Malaysia is a lost art. Nowadays youngsters oni wanna go CC n DOTA.
