Of course insurance is a scam

Last week my client warded to Columbia Puchong for 3 days
Total bill RM6500
She only need to pay RM6 only

Scam! Why she pay rm6 only instead of RM6500?!!

She should not needed to pay anything! Confirm kena scam if need to come out money!

but those INVESTMENT or SAVING relevant insurance is kinda lol.

not a scam but shady business. If you claim a big surgery, they will pay but they gonna terminate your account.

If you are rich like Bill gates or Robert Kuok, etc have millions of cash in the bank then you don't need insurance

If you also don't give fork and willing and ready to go when you get terminal illness you also don't need insurance

I know many old people who never bought insurance in their life.. Now in 60s to 80s and still relatively healthy

So to these ppl insurance is a scam

Hmmmmmm is it possible to don't get insurance and only get treated at gov hospitals? Afterall our Healthcare is one of the best and is cheap unlike in the US.

insurance itself is not a scam. most of the time it is agents' over-promising/misleading selling that makes people think that insurance is a scam.

they calculated statistics that average people wont have much health problem. Plus you need to do your health check before they offer you insurance.

No, its not a scam. In fact it is the only product in the world that you are happy you wont get back anything back. Imagine..if you pay the premium and you dont get to claim that means you are not dead/sick, so why you should feel bad? And if you do die/get sick at least you know you have something to fall back on.

But one thing to note though..insurance is meant for protection not savings, so buy term insurance not investment link and buy medical too. If you want to save you can invest directly in many mutual funds available in the market.

And claims do not get reject often. You have to read and understand all the exclusion, you dont get to claim for everything especially if you already have pre-existing condition.

I bet those that say its a scam dun even have medical card.
But those that have it, and have claimed from it, will surely no say its a scam.
I've claim many times from my company provided medical card... Easily more than 10k claim.

Too bad now I'm older, having diabetes and high BP and over weight and no more working in that company, having a hard time to get an affordable medical card.

my kid is 4yrs old.took insurance for him since 1st week he was born. until today insurance has paid almost 15k for his hospital bills. not a scam to me. just find a reliable agent.

If you not afford then don't. But you must try to allocate for insurance. You do not know the time you need it.

Got ppl said if u save money without having medical insurance, ur saving actually belongs to the doctor.

So in order to avoid that, I rather take a slight deduction on my saving to pay for the insurance so that my balance saving does actually belong to me for use and not for the doctor.

I believe insurance is for protection. Not really into the investment linked part of insurance.

Its just ponzi-like scheme money collection to pay off others medical/ surgeries/ hospitalization bills.

When u kena some sickness disease and claim thousands and thousands through insurance agents, dun see these ppl appreciate and thanks them?

Wait until you fell sick and admitted in the hospital.

I have the experience before, pay a lot for the bill even in the government hospital.
