PS:Some ppl dont give a damn about gosu's but i respect them alot. They are our pillar of balance. We can enjoy a balanced game because those gosu set the benchmark for the game(also for providing cookie cuts strat).The game balance revolves around them. If Grubby quits WC3 sure ORC will get buffed bigtime.

About DotA, i hope that word will become extinct in few years. Let me confess, i hate DotA, why? Bcoz of DotA my friends dont wnt to play melee with  me anymore.They say "DotA is more fun, ladder game boring."I curse DotA.
Who cares. The beauty of rts can be seen when gosu like Boxer play the game with 1337 skillz. Those wow factor of sup com and CNC are nothing compared to that.
I dare say some game like DoW:DC and CNC dont have any gosu. Shame most pro quit DoW when they announce there will be no DoW in wcg this year. Know where they go? CNC3.Why not SC or WC3 if their reaso for playing is wcg? because they are such reject that cant compete in SC and WC3. Games like DoW and other rts dont have players that can set a standard for the game. Their top player are nothing like SC and WC3 gosus. Thats why some games have serious balance problem.Anyway its just my opinion.

Every game has its own pros and cons. About which game is better, it depends on ppl.
I myself enjoys Dark Crusade.
What im trying to say the competitive nature of SC owns everything, even WC3.I used to read FOV interview, in which he said in Korea progamer are divided into 2 group, sc gamer and non-sc gamer.

To me there are many RTS that are good in design, but what makes SC and WC3 stand the test of time, is company support and balance which is created by the gosu.

I think one example is Ravana.One of SG's pro,quits DC when C&C3 is in WCG.

dota is a fail mechanics of a game, a manipulation and one of the most useless mods for a game ive ever see/play, The mod is just ridiculous and idiotic.... now how's that for a life...

Don't you guys notice after the Strider from Half Life 2, so many thing slike to copy it's design?

- Alien Tripod in War of the World
- The new flower-alike monster in World of Warcraft, outland.
- Annihilator Tripod from C&C3
- The giant machine in Unreal 3 (Go search for it's screenshot and you will find this unit)
- Now SC2 !

What you guys think they should keep from previous game?

My list:
1) similar capability of doing rush (one egg = 2 zerglings = imba)
2) Keep Overlord, Lurker, Guardian, Hidralisk and Zerglings. Ditch everything else. throw away Ultralisk, he can't walk in between the photon cannons.
3) Keep Zealot, Dragoon (why do they..sigh...), Scarabs, Corsair, Carriers, and Arbiter!
4) BattleCruiser, Ghost, Firebats, Marines, Goliaths, Siege Tank, and Vulture (with spider mines, the winning korean strat)
5) Retain some old technology please, like burrow, lockdown, flying terran buildings (which is similar to night elf's uprooting structures, haha)

Seriously, if they can balance SC2 up and enable gameplay such as the old SC, that would be nice. the strats, the rush, the defense formation and everything an oldschool SC player would know.

Oh, i wet my pants daydreaming again.

I wonder if the controls are still the same... Got so used to numbering squads.  And wonder if it works similar to Warcraft, like that zooming /change angle thing.

I think heroes in SC won't pollute the game la. Coz heroes in SC are like normal units. They die the same way as other units, and they do not revive (remember kerrigan, raymond and those protoss high clerics? they are normal units with different colours only). Let's just hope they stay that way...

SC is the way to go! It set the standards for RTS so high that it's still number 1 until now. It's sequel is gonna rule RTS for 20 years... I hope...

Now is it going to be Protoss that rules the universe? Or Terrans going to kacau Zergs again? Or maybe Zergs team up wit Protoss to eliminate Terrans... Interesting story ahead...
