Benq are pretty slow getting their computers to australia. I've been tossing up between the S32. I'll wait for them to come out.

all brand sure got 1 or 2 unit got problem, depand on luck punya. maybe made in japan kualiti control better ?   

if this S41 got warenti 1 to 1 change ? how long warenti, inside 1 year got problem can tukar baru ke?

from feeback, sound not very good somemore srs truesound as advertised, is this hardware or driver problem?

I FOUND A PROBLEM!!!

I just wanna point out one thing after i installed the camera driver from the CD. I can't shut down my computer or restart properly. I am using Window XP SP2.."special" version. I uninstalled the camera driver then everything is ok again. Everything else is cool... just maybe the battery life lor..

Running my S41 on top of a zalman cooling pad now... heh.

I quite like the LCD... Nice, bright but i could do without the reflectiveness which is madness because the windows is right behind me and i have to keep the curtains closed.

Speakers - What'd you expect? Thses are only 1.5W LAPTOP speakers. Can't compare to my 280W Logitech Z5300 5.1 system which i've plugged into the headphone port. LOL!

Touchpad - The touchpad is annoying especially when you forget to turn it off while gaming. Wish it was more towards the centre.

BenQ Software - Only software i have installed is the camera, SRS Surround and Nero. Not bothered with the rest.

Speed - To me, if benq allowed proc upgrades... coupling this with a T7300 would do very nicely. More than enough if you ask me... too bad it's only the T7100.

if they say no OS.. means need install our own windows in it..? juz run the cd when start the laptop izzit..? kinda noob in this kind of stuff..

yeah...just run the OS cd. However, i suggest you be careful when installing OEM software because once it's installed that's it. You won't be able to simply change the hardware once the software is in.

OEm software works with the hardware that is present the first time in the laptop.

so ur recommendation is to install original XP SP2 OS directly instead of those OEM versions..?

You can but with OEm software, once it's installed, it only works for that particular machine.

Quite correct. And you can't make major hardware changes either or the OS won't accept them.

As so far i know that OEM window or software is those software which will directly install in ur machine and u din get the PACK or BOX. all the function remains the same. Some shop are selling OEM ver Window b'cuz they offer their buyers to directly install to the cpu, but most of them, they will sell it separately. erm... am i clear with my words? or i'm wrong? correct me~ thx thx

Very stable indeed, but dvd had lower tolerence
for jack sparrow media, as compared to s73g.
Overall good, at least i get to keep all my apps
running till that little brat, Vista matures into a fine woman.
Then ill hump her good!

So what do u ppl think about the temperature of the laptop while it is operating? It feels kind of hot for me but it is better than the Acer 5920G!

But not anything like the IBM i am using here! Is it becoz of the new processor? T7***? is it tat hot?

I have something to ask about the laptop battery. Is it better to remove it when I am using AC power? I heard it will shorten the batteries life if I am using AC power while it's fully charged already..

huh? got such thing? s41 need cpu hotfix for win xp or not?

and one more question, if let say u dunwan to use the card reader and u go to device manager and disable it. will it still consume power?
