hi guys, i got the lappy from john on wednesday......and met up with ikeda too.
sry for posting late coz went outstation today, just reach home.

now online using S41.

Allow me to do a quick review on the lappy 

So far everything is okay with the lappy, the keypads are well designed, medium size (not like other lappy, the size of each keys is quite small).

The processor is ultra silent. even u load with a high memory application.

Though there is a slightly problem if u r using under xp. Problem with graphic card driver and the WLan driver. Anyway it solve now.....if u r using the lappy with vista, everything's work fine i believe since provided with vista driver cd.

Plus, i tested the lappy with Warcraft III. For the first time, around 30 mins, lappy restart (this is due to the graphic card driver). After reinstall the graphic driver, it works fine. Im using 1024 x 768 32 bits for the Warcraft III game setting, and it run smooth.

I tried on the 1.3MB webcam, pretty cool when use with the application given.

As for the sound quality, don't expect too much, but for me, it is on the level of good quality, loud and clear.

Hope the review can give a better view of S41 for those who look forward to get this lappy.

Graphic: Excellent, ran highest settings for Heroes V, Civilization IV, Medieval 2 Total War, and the results are what I expected. Though M2TW was rather a bit laggy with all highest, changing it to high resulted still bloody cool graphic and no more lag. Will try CnC3 once I changed my 'ahem' copy (can't be read...). 9/10

Sound: Wonderful? LoL, it's much nicer than some cracked speakers I have in my old laptop. It's crispy crisp, bleeding sharp, and feather soft to me. Blasted What I've Done (LP), it is what I call 7/10, can't beat good speakers yet but still just great for a laptop speaker.

Design: Front laptop skin, with the small circles are rather a bit oldish to me, but it's acceptable (plus skins are available either way - LYN and ol' John have some in hands). Dark shiny and metallic look for the inside. Ports and such are fine, all at the sides, nothing in the back. BUT, felt that it could be much nicer if they only include a buckle / lock to the laptop. I'm used to closing the laptop and pressing some button to open it up, but S41 just open and close without any clip-on or buckle. 7/10 (I like to close it properly, for those who don't care to buckle it, take a 8/10).

Misc: Heat are acceptable for the process speed, keys are a bit awkward (I'm used to Dell keys), processing are fast, the DVD reader/burner is annoying (by far, the only thing I dislike - it's not reading every DVD I put in, and yes, some are 'ahem' copies but after testing, its readable through other DVD readers), light-weight IMO, and the web cam is cool, haha, even my ugly face looks good through it 
IN SHORT: I don't regret getting it, and John has provided good services so far, so if anyone would ask me - yes, go find John for your laptop.

Yeah i finally got the Laptop yesterday night, wanted to take picture of it but my Canon Ixus 850IS battery seems to have some problem so no pictures...

I select US keyboard layout while install vista but dun know why the @ key and " key is opposite..I means the display on the keyboard is correct just that when i press "shit" + "2" , it appear "  but not @    (normally @ on top of number 2 and " is on top of ') ...  

busy busy.. looking analogue cable... only have dvi cable with me... can not connect the port to my lcd .  

I like it.... just got it today! HEHEHE! Laptop will be out soon, after i finish configuring for maximum performance.

Btw, it runs hot and you can feel the heat when you rest your palms on the surface.

But for some reason my new external 3.5" is not detected by Vista although it's supposed to be Vista supported.

Anyway, i highly suggest you guys get Vista Premium... makes fora  very good way to let off frustration when stuff goes wrong. You can throw any amount of swear words at Bill Gates and God won't mind because he's cursing too!
