HALP! My laptop display just died. Getting a lot of weird lines across the screen. I can still boot into the OS and type my password and enter though.

Booted into save mode... reinstalled another display driver.


It's working again. I think it was driver trouble. Will see how things go for the next 24 hours.

Situation Update: My system went haywire agian. *sigh* i can now confirm that it's not the LCD screen that is at fault. It's the GPU.

The reinstalling and upgrading of my drivers worked for 3 hours? before the damn thing went loco on me again. Guess i'm taking it to John's shop tomorrow after all.

Just went to John's shop this morning and handed in my laptop.

Hey john... i forgot to ask you to take a look at my keyboard as well. The Esc key is a bit 'songsang' and the top right-hand corner of my laptop feels loose. Where the right side speaker is.

I don't even oc my GPU.

When can i get my laptop back?

This is gay....BenQ can't give me a timeframe on when i can get back my laptop. All they can say is... we can only tell you once we receive the spare part.

Get the S41-H. Much more bang for buck... I asked John's colleague... to upgrade my S41's T7100 to a T7300 would be an extra RM600. So go for the S41-H!!!!! The extra RAM is only RM100.

Just called up BenQ again and found out that the spare parts are arriving next week so she said i should be getting the laptop back by early to mid December.

That's because it's the new version... NOT an update. The first S41 was Rm3999 with a T7100.

Kinda old.

Get a bluetooth remote OR mod your HP with software to turn it into a remote control.

I think my Vista won't work after the mobo change. Why? Because it's OEM.
