ofcoz his SNR margin low la.. his speed capped at 24Mbps.
If he reduce back to 4Mbps DSLAM capped. confirm increase to 50dB.
If u want, make a complain to TM, tell them to reduce back to 1524kbps or 4098kbps. then your SNR margin will increase.
If i were u, I do not tell anyone. b'coz i can use 24Mbps. So, Let's change house or I go to your house staying for 3 days. We share the 24mbps tongue.gif


Btw, My SNR Margin only 5-11dB.

Suddenly something come into my mind.
Is AAG started and that's y all 4mb user are routed to 218.111 IP's
which give better network connection ?
Or AAG is starting soon, Now they became to route all 4Mb user to get this IP.

Anyone Insider here?

try to remove all other cable.
like spliter, telephone cable,
only connect to your modem.
then restart your modem.
check the SNR margin again.. see got improvement or not.

connected but can't browse.

when i connect using 1mb account. then can online / surf / browse.

Does anyone facing any problem like me ?

10mbps is not official launch still on trial.

all 4mb user account has been capped to 4mb since 3 days ago.

last time it was capped at 6mbps.

Btw do u know what is the speed capped on the DSLAM ?

Those IPDSLAM max speed is 24Mbps. (correct me if wrong )

I do not have DC, but b4 i moved to this house, I had rewiring the whole telephone line from the Tiang to my house and my internal wiring.

Normal price RM100 - 120
Then i told him, Give discount la... since i apply streamyx with him also RM80

then i told him, RM50 can ah ? student only.. then he agreed.
( he told me RM50 just good enough for the cable cost ) ( But he got commission from me by registering streamyx with him )

I feel 218 IP's can compete with Jaring now, in term of Latency..

Now I can see 100ms to JP
230ms to LA
280ms to Chicago


Last time TM always extra 100ms higher compare v Jaring. Now they are all same.

Do I mean TM is getting better now ?

Well, After someone said they are able to get 4mbps in LYN forum. and few days later all 4mbps users do not able to get more than 4mb anymore. i assume NOC / some Decision makers are reading our post. biggrin.gif

Happened to me b4, I sent an email to NOC regarding this problem and they fixed it in 3hours.
PM Me if u need help. will tell u what information needed.

Last time, 1Mb account can connection and surf. but 4mb acc connected can't surf. The inbound connection is hang/stuck/lost.
using same line. It's due to 4mb account only.

At first I tot it was temporarily only. waited for 3 days no result. sent an email to noc without calling CSR. and i got fixed in 3 hours.

this 218.111 IP can pair with Jaring now.
Latency is quite low.

For those who got connection problem with 4MB account please try to use 1Mb account to connect.
B'coz U can't connect with your 4mb doesn't mean u can't connect with your 1MB.

Happened to me and MX510 also.
sent an email to NOC and we got fixed with few hours time.

Just take note in case happened to u next time.

Class B subnet got 60K+ IP's available.

If other 4MB user getting other IP's mean they gonna have almost 60,000 4mb streamyx user.

U know how TM make the calcucation ?

They count like, 1 of 25 user will connect to internet

mean their bandwidth can support 25% of total streamyx users. ( Roughly or estimated only, and personal assumption only )

Any 4MB users got slow connection. please post the IP of the server. I might help in this case.

www.abc123.com -> this website download slow.

As for me, 10 friends of mine, All working adults only able to connect to internet after working hours even they pay for 1MB or 512kbps
usually, 1 user DL and then share all the file in the office.

And sometime they said, "aiya.. i still got 20episode haven't watch yet"

Majority teenage use P2P. some ppl like 25+ ys old only check emails and download viruses from the internet only. biggrin.gif
