juz take a pic.. den download and check d exif file.. u'll get d shutter count
*
true, BUT not on all cameras.

Canon cameras (other than the higher end ones) are notorious for not recording shutter count. smile.gif

350D / 400D users, even if you upload to Flickr and view the info - the stated number at Shutter Count is incorrect. you can ask Gadget_Freak to verify on this, we discussed this before.

i myself have done some research on viewing shutter count on them Canons. smile.gif

EDITED : oh btw, the way to view shutter count on Canon is to bring to Canon service center. at least, that's what i read so far. smile.gif if anyone has a counter-info, kindly update me.

when i want to buy my dSLR a couple of months back, i've been looking for nikon system long and hard, i was looking at D50 and D70s at that time. it took me about 1-2 months of research and asking around for the infos. Then just about a week prior to my decision, i just tested a canon 350D and, BANG!! That's the model that really suites my need, and budget of course... And I'm quite familiar with Canon system already. So, 5 months on, i think i've made a wise choice... smile.gif

EDIT: the bottom line is, don't think too much of these things (to buy this or that), as ur thinking may change in a split second later..

another thing is shutter-count no biggy la.

AFAIK they can last anywhere from 50k to 150k shots.

shutter replacement is about RM 300 i think.

wah not bad ar the price , can buy another body , hehe , but if all rounder lens , i think its fair enough for me smile.gif

doing survey

55-200 vr AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f4-5.6G ED = RM825
80-200 f2.8 - AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 ED = RM3750

Nikon Zoom Normal-Telephoto 55-200mm f/4-5.6G
ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Autofocus Lens for DSLR
[NK-AFSVR55200DX] RM895.00

Nikon Nikkor AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED
[NK-AFSVR70300] RM1,950.00

i think ora-ito using 70-300 right , from the above , which one is good or have other opinion ? wanna to save money to buy lens

fez...
where did u get the 55-200mm vr for 825?
can tell me?

actually it depends what u consider all rounder la...
if u prefer single lens do-it-all...go for 18-200mm
if u dun mind changing lens and want cheap...55-200mm as it extends from ur 18-55mm kit lens...
if u dun mind changing lens and dun care bout money...70-300mm vr...and also u lose a bit of the range between 55 - 70mm...
it's really up to u...
however...read reviews of each lens and if u could try it out first before deciding...

as for me...i used to want a 70-300vr...then after re thinking...will be getting the 55-200mm + sb-800...=)...
