How long does it take to apply PB Visa Electron debit card?




I need to purchase something online urgent.



Can I do online transaction immediately after I got the card?

yea maybank debit card sucks

i just got the maybank debit card today..

yea i just tried.. and online transaction doesn't work

I applied for PB visa electron card at damansara utama public bank today.



The lady said they had to send it credit card authority and it might take up to a month.

Is it normal????







I also applied for RHB cash connect at RHB damansara utama today
The lady said that it would take 10 days if I apply now. She advised that if I come apply after 3rd February, they will do on the spot immediately.



Is it normal?







Can RHB cash connect debit card do online transactions? paypal, ebay, amazon?

you have to turn on the oversea flag at the counter

it's off by default

I did mine at damansara utama branch


there's one counter where u get your credit card statements, bank statements and mailing stuff. a counter where you can simply go without getting the token number.
I gave them the card and told them to turn on the oversea flag. They took the card.. did something and told me it's done, showing me the computer screen showing "oversea = yes"





By the way, Maybank debit card is pretty useless without online capabilities.

When did u get the card?



I got my RHB my-cash debit card yesterday morning (wednesday)


But the staffs say that I will only be able to use it starting from Fri morning. Online things






anyone else has rhb card?
i'm gonna wait till tomorrow morning.. quite nervous because I need to do some online purchase urgently


PB visa electron card is a massive disappointed.. have to wait for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time

I tried the online purchase yesterday.
Got rejected. RHB bank called me immediately. I don't know whether it is coincidence or they can track the transaction.

They said they old card was faulty

They told me told come collect a new card on fri


So I went there to collect this morning.

I immediately tried after I got back home

it's working.. the payment went through



bro the best thing is, just call customer service written at the back of the card.

RHB cash connect can verify paypal without any problem




IMO, RHB has the best service in terms of internet banking. You can do all sorts of things online: transfer money to someone's account, issue bank draft, or even telegraphic transfer to oversea without going to the branch..
Customer service is good too


I applied for RHB cash connect and public bank visa electron on the same day on 28th Janauray 2009.
Guess what? I still haven't got my public bank card yet UNTIL NOW!!.. not even the pin.. their work is soooo slow and not professional.
Guess what? I got my RHB card on the same day instantly on 28th Jan 2009!! As soon as I got back home, I tried to make some online purchases, it went through!!!

I have my respect for RHB

If I want to transfer fund from one bank from another bank through online banking (from RHB to MayBank), what prefix do I need to put in front of the maybank account number?
