Maybank's is an ATM & Debit Card 2 in 1 . I checked with EON bank and PBB before , if you used their Debit card to withdraw money from a 3rd party bank ( other than EON & PBB ATM ) , there will be a RM10 charge. For Maybank's 2 in 1 ATM plus Debit Card , withdrawal of money from an ATM of a 3rd party bank will be charged at RM1 , but the staff told me that you need to have an account with Maybank and for a savings account the initial amount to open the account is RM250. All those with Maybank KawanKu ATM card can replace this ATM card with the 2 in 1 card . And there will be a fee of RM12 but I forgotten to ask whether there is annual charges for this 2 in 1 card. Anyone here know about this ?
I would also like to know how is the acceptance of Maybank's Debit Visa Card ? I heard from friends that Maybank's Debit Visa Card's is not so good in terms of acceptance by merchant. Is it true ?
