Update. I called them again (0395433838), they say no record of my call on 21st Oct. Well, wow.

Instead of entertaining my request, the CS asked me to call 0374919888 and look for "sales dept" this time.

When calling 0374919888, automated voice asked me to send request via Whatsapp (option to talk to CS somehow not available). When I whatapp them, the they stop replying when I start talking about downgrading package.

Are they closing all avenues / avoiding customers to downgrade nowadays? This is bad.

Any success story of downgrading package?

That was the first thing I did. Can't proceed because this error "The changes are impacting your current T&Cs. (Detected on Residential Main Component 016602324804)."

So I resorted to calling them and now being thrown here and there.

Thanks. I called the CS again and told them if they can't assist me with downgrading, they I will proceed with complaint to MCMC.

That really did wonders. Assisted me with the downgrading on the spot.

Bro, means if current Astro package already include Disney+ Hotstar subscription and the following steps is just to activate it. Would it subject to RM5/month afterwards or not... since it's already part of current package? I read the FAQ but couldn't find a firm clause about it.

My only gripe with ultrabox is that if I turned on the ultrabox first and then my TV (Sony), then no sound will come out from my soundbar. Had to turn on the TV first.

Still can't find a workaround.

Current connection:

Ultrabox > TV (HDMI)
Soundbar > TV (HDMI ARC)

Never occured with the previous HD Box (HDD)

Thanks, just checked my TV & soundbar spec:

Sony TV (2015 model), Full HD, non-4K. HDCP 1.4.
Sony soundbar (2015 model). Non-compliant to HDCP 2.2.

Guess I need to live up to it then lol.

When I watch HBO Go via Ultrabox, the quality is not as good if I watch via HBO Go app (Android TV app). Is this normal?

Not sure the upcoming Netflix via Ultrabox will be the same.

Currently for HBO GO on Astro, you're streaming through Astro servers, not HBO GO's own servers. Maybe like the Linux webapp version that is used on some TVs?

So the pink issue happened after ultrabox's firmware update that includes netflix?

I did update my ultrabox on my 2015 sony tv (non-4k) and not hdcp 2.2 compliant yesterday. So far no issue.

Maybe other things?

Would Astro force us to upgrade from legacy package someday? I'm on Super Pack 1 and don't find any of the new offering interesting.

For Ultrabox, Is there any workaround/setting to disable the profile page? I’m the only user and it’s quite annoying to press OK everytime I turn on the STB
