Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the dual language feature for HBO Malaysia. So, what's the second language track? Please reply! Thank you!

Hi guys, anyone using telco broadband to watch VOD?
I just cut my streamyx 8mbps (previously watching VOD most of the time no lag),
and recently change my home wifi to Digi, but seriously lag when watching VOD.
speedtest KL server easily get 20-30mbps, but lag on VOD.
not sure why.

Astro so called OD with Home Wi-Fi is very lousy.
Nothing interesting. Slow download server. Outdated content.
I have 10Mbps speed to try to use it. But download very slow.

Just close shop your tak guna OD service. Can't compete with Iflix and Netflix at all.
Atleast this streaming service have something new to watch.
But Astro punya stream on demand PVR service. Just like their promote premium.
With outdated server and new content.

Promosi bukan main. Cerita sama je. Ulang banyak kali.
Download ambil masa yang lama. Tapi boleh tengok 2 hari je.

Dual language would be for selected movies only, for MAL , that would be BM, Singapore is Mandarin, HK is Cantonese etc.

Oh... okay! smile.gif Last time, I noticed that Kung Fu Panda has been aired with English language and Cantonese language as its second language during CNY. That's why I confuse about what's the usual second language track for the channel. Thanks for the reply!

Protecting customer data is important for us, says Astro

PETALING JAYA: Astro has lodged two police reports on media reports of a data leak involving their customers’ data.

An Astro spokesperson said the company would like to clarify media reports concerning the unauthorised disclosure of Astro IPTV customer data.

“Firstly, this relates to IPTV customers provisioned by Maxis only.

“The management of IPTV customers is a joint responsibility between Astro and its telco partner, Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd (Maxis). No other ASTRO customers are affected,” the spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday (June 6).

Astro was made aware of this incident on Jan 26, the company added.

“On the same date, we sought assistance from MCMC (Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission) and had the search engine provider remove the link.

“All trace of customer data online was immediately removed. Subsequently, Astro lodged a police report on Feb 8,” the spokesperson said.

Protecting customer data is of utmost importance to Astro and we have complied with all data protection protocols and obligations.

“In any case we have revalidated all our security measures and confirm they are intact.

“It has now come to our knowledge that this data has resurfaced and Maxis was promptly requested to extend its assistance with the investigation.

"We lodged a second police report today, informed MCMC and will also lodge a report to the Department of Personal Data Protection,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added the company is working closely with the authorities to address the issue.

“We confirm no customer financial data was disclosed. We are also working with Maxis to carry out additional forensic investigations.

We will provide an update once we receive more information from the authorities. Meanwhile, we will remain vigilant in our data protection efforts in protecting our customers’ data,” the spokesperson said.
