Hi guys, I m not from rich family and deciding to buy a ps4, just curious and wondering how u guys get a ps4 games? Buy a brand new during promotion period? Borrow or exchange with friend? Rent a game? Or even online streaming games from ps4 site? Or any other cheaper option available?

Buying brand new is just way to expensive.
You pretty much have to accept you won’t be able to buy a brand new game at launch.

But that’s ok as PS4 is close to the end of its lifespan so most of the games are already out.

- get second hand from shops.
- borrow from friends
- ps+ is pretty worth it. You can consider getting it during a promotion.
- during sales, AAA games can go below RM50.
- online streaming is not that worth it. 3rd party game seller via account sharing is also too risky imo.

When will the promotion sales that below rm50? Btw, what is PS+ ?

easy. dont follow other people hype up games. prioritize 1st on what games you must play on day 1, used game(put your reasonable target, mine is rm150-180 for a recent game), only buy when is cheap af, maybe sub PS+ if you play online game.
being doing it since 2011 got easy 200-300 games havent finish/untouched on all my gaming platforms

Gone are the days when PS1 and 2 games are only worth rm5. Even though the US exchange rate has gone down, games however are still priced around 229 standard ironically. Even with our GE if won by another party, cost of living will never come down.

Your nasi lemak increased 60c in the name of gst. Price will remain the same even with gst abolished.

Buy 2nd hand, don't pay more than 150 per game. After playing it, sell it away. Buy new games only if u wanna ride the hype train.

Subscribe to ps+, in that way u always get free games monthly albeit it may not be your genre of interest.

- some games might be discounted further.

Allocate RM200 saving per month for your spending on PS4, if no game to buy this month, accumulate and see next month got any game to buy or not, keep accumulating, still no game to buy for a year? You get RM2400 ezpz.

-per game no more than RM100
-ps store buy only 50% discount or more
-download demo ps store(can test if game u want suit you)
-create r1 for more demo

What is create r1? Where to create it?

i dont own ps4 but i own wii u. i think all console games are expensive. by that, i only buy second hand which is less than half price.. and only buy triple a games.

Do research first before buying any games. Don't just simply following the hype train or trend. If you follow any particular game site, they will announced release date months before the game came out so you can plan first hand how to collect money. If you not sure if the game is good or not, wait for the review came out first and watch some gameplay on youtube before make any decision. This can prevent you from wasting money on game you dont have interest in it.

Research. ps+ and only game that you can't find in pc. Pc = steam

live with only 2-3 games. easier when you also a pc master race.

first at least join ps+ and start collecting the game,
second dont buy hype game at day one, better wait couple of month or a year for the price to drop kaw2,

me normally play ps+ game,, i only buy the game that i want when the price drop very low

I suggest you to buy games only when you really feel like playing it. Like me, I will hold off playing other games until I've finished my current game.
Also join a whatsapp ps4 trading group in your area, preferably those with a lot of members and regular sellers. There are a lot of preloved games in those groups you can buy below rm100. Most even accept trade in 😁

I suggest you subscribe to PS+. 1 year only RM129. During promotion you can get extra 3 month.

PS+ member can get free games every month. Sometime Sony gave AAA titles for PS+ member. As long your PS+ not expired, you can still play PS+ games.

Another advantage for PS+ member is you can buy digital games at huge discount. Every month Sony always have discount sale.

To save money, don't buy new released games. Instead buy old games if you're not yet played. There a tone of games worth to play depend on your liking.

Buying second hand is another option so that you can get cheaper price instead of paying full price. You also can sell back later after finish playing.
